Be aware that amazon.com, amazon.ca, amazon.co.uk, and the others are separate companies, and you can earn commissions when your customers buy a product through the correct affiliate link for the Amazon site from which they buy it (if you promote amazon.com affiliate links on your blog, and I click on your link and go to amazon.com and look, I'm still going to decide to buy the product from amazon.co.uk because I live in England, and you'll be paid only if you're also an affiliate of amazon.co.uk and if you give me the right amazon.co.uk link to click on. You'll have to show Amazon a website, to be accepted into the Amazon Associates program, but it doesn't need much content. Just the legal necessities such as an appropriate affiliate disclosure, and so on. There was very little on the website I showed them and they accepted me within a day.

amazon afilliates can be difficult but you can get some crazy purchases. I was selling video games and I had someone buy 2 $150 text books

You appear to be very new to this. Before you start promoting ANYTHING from Amazon, make sure you go out and read their TOS. If you don't understand something in their Terms of Service, ask them.

I do very, very well as an Amazon affiliate but it does take work and you aren't going to "become rich" (at least no time soon). It is a business so treat it as such.
