I have a newsletter. How do I market/introduce it to tons of people?

How do I market/introduce a newsletter to people who might be interested in subscribing to receive it monthly via email and ask them to do so in a way that might entice them to subscribe??

    Since you are starting from scratch I recommend that you find a way to Joint Venture with others that already have a list and a relationship with their list.

    Find people in your niche: bloggers, influencers etc. and reach out to them. There must be something of value in it for them though to send an email promoting your newsletter. If they send an email to their list letting folks know about a complimentary newsletter such as yours you can get mass signups. I've done this in the past and its worked great. It didn't take off from day 1 and took a little bit of time to locate the JV partners. But once they started it really grew quickly. JV's add about 1000 new members to that list monthly now.

    Put your offer in front of a group of people who are interested and give something incredibly valuable away for free.... like in the case of a minister- a POWERFUL free downloadable sermon, on a subject that interests alot of people.

    Go to a christian forum and talk about your subject, let it get heated if it has to, and people will click your link.

    Get them to opt in, and deliver it via email or send them to a download page after optin. Email is better because it immediately gives them the motivation to open your newsletter for the first time. Tell them to share the message and the optin page. Tell them on the audio that can recieve more by joining your newsletter.

    Once a month is not enough. They will forget about you. Do it once or twice per week.

    Whatever it is. If you have a lead scraper or something- give it for free.... to a group of people who like that thing.

    I sold my lead generator, but looking back I would have given it for free, now I cant because it would upset the ones who paid for it, but I would have gotten 10,000 optins instead of just 1,000.

    In my case "today", I offer free audios and a free forum membership with a ton of content.

    Both things I could charge for...

    Dont give rehash, dont give something with no value.

    Give your BEST!!!

    Do not fear that if you give your best upfront that you will have nothing left to offer, you will rather inspire loyalty... encourage others to share this thing, whatever it is, and let it be viral.

    Here's the key "It has to have value".

    If I put a yellow pages scraper in my sig for free right now, I wouldnt even have to TRY to get people to sign up, because it would have value, and tons of people would want to take advantage...

    Next thing you know, you have a thousand people, then 2000, then 3000...

    For instance if I were selling "Wallpaper" in newsletters. I would get people to join by maybe offering a free report on how to hang wallpaper like a pro....or wallpaper ideas.... and maybe advertise it on google adwords, or in some kind of home makers forum.


    If your offer is good and its free, then anyone who reads it will subscribe if they are interested in that subject.

    ESPECIALLY if others charge for what you are offering for free. In the long term, offering your BEST product for free, will give you loyalty and customers for years to come.

      Excellent point. Adswapping , like Willy Crawford teaches is yet another way!

      The thing is that in Nashville every producer is looking for the next hit song, and some songwriters think the producers are hiding from them. The truth is that their ideas arent turning the producers on enough to motivate them to come out for you.

      If your offer is really good, then people WILL flock to it with nothing but a headline, but if it isnt, then you will have to dig for people.

      Just offer something really good that others charge for and give it for free.

      In the last month I have placed 2 free short reports on the WF for example and have gotten 1600 download without even promoting the threads, in fact people are downloading and not posting, and the threads are BURIED... Still getting downloaded by everyone who happens across them. I have no optin for these two in particular, but if I did, I could have just posted them, walked away, and would have an automated 1-1.2k optins from them by now. In just a few WEEKS. They HAVE sent about 600 new people to my forum though- of whome, a couple hundred people have signed up!

      Do that with 5 or six little short reports or offerings and you have 5k on your list in no time. Again, it has to interest people and not be something worthless.

      You can do that too, if what you are offering has value.
