Where Can I Sell My eBooks?

by Topwriters Banned
79 replies
I have been writing different types of eBooks for the longest time, and I just realized that I already have tons on them! The topics are endless..I think I have one in every niche. I don't know what to do with them, as most clients will always request for me to make one that is according to their preference.

By the way all my eBooks are unique and never sold...so, you'll never have problems when it comes to duplicate contents.

Can you recommend a place where to sell them? I've heard about amazon, but I actually don't know where to start and how to start selling my eBooks in amazon. I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Making relatively basic but aesthetic and functional websites to sell them can be effective (you could use a similar template for all of your eBooks). An advantage of this is that you have a lot of eBooks to sell so it would be more worth it for you to create individual websites for each and copy the templates over than it is to people who have written a small amount of eBooks.

Depending on the content and quality I'd be happy to promote them for free for you (I have an advertising website which could make you a lot of sales, however, it depends on the content). If you're interested PM me with the titles of some of your eBooks,

    Ryan

Hey Ryan! Your offer sounds good. I'll compile the titles in a spreadsheet and PM it to you once done. Thanks!

By the way, setting up websites isn't my thing. In all honesty, I have one for my writing service, and I am going crazy already...I can't imagine myself having more.

I look forward to it You may not be able to PM me (due to post count), if this is the case then you can e-mail me at r.c.humphrey[at]durham.ac.uk

With regards to websites finding a cheap (or even free) template is a simple solution and wouldn't take long to do. What is your writing service website if you don't mind me asking ?

If you have that many ebooks in a variety of niches then start uploading them to Amazon's Kindle program. The cost to list is free, thus you have absolutely, positively nothing to lose in trying.

Does anybody know any good ebook writing services (yes I've looked into doing it myself but I feel the time Id spend trying to create what I want would not be worth it because I probably wont be able to create a half as good product as someone else within a fraction of the time it would take me so I'd rather outsource it). I believe the OP meant he wrote unique pieces of content for each of his clients according to their needs. That's still unique in my book, regardless of whether he packaged the content into an ebook or not.

I would not use PayPal if you can avoid them. Use ClickBank as the payment processor as you will not be involved in the payment process. ClickBank will manage all fraud detection, affiliate payments, W-9s, sales tax and everything else. If you get too successful with PayPal (and I hope you do get successful), they have the right to put your funds on hold for up to 180 days (yes, that's 6 months!). How do I know? (Take a guess...)

So from what I can gather from your post, clients have asked for ebooks in a variety of different niches and then one day you realised you had a lot of them and want to sell them?
When a client hires you to write an ebook for them isn't that under the understanding that once paid for they own the rights to it and you should not resell them especially if they already sold them themselves as then it's not gonna be unique anyway. :/

Forget eBay, unless you wanna burn them into cd's and actually ship. They don't tolarate digital products since 2008. So if someone sees you selling an eBook there, they'll close the listing and give you a warning. Besides, eBooks don't sell there that good anyway. I tried listing like 20 of them at the same time. Sells were pretty poor

Amazon has lots of traffic but they also have a TON of products. Search for a topic related to your ebook and you'll find that they thousands of results. Unless you are in the top few results or are very good at driving traffic to Amazon, you will have a tough time. It costs big online retailers next to nothing to offer your ebook so they don't care if it sells. They get most of their money from the top few ebooks.

The more places your ebook is available, the better.

There are many things that you can do to monetize from your ebook. I will suggest that you decide on ONE main market that you want to start your business in. The fact is that most of the people already have the necessary knowledge to get them started but the main problem is that they are doing too many project at the same time.

For me personally, I will create a salesletter for it to sell and build a list from it. Just my 2 cents.

    Hi,
This may sound too simple, but, if you go to google and type in the search bar how do I sell e books on Amazon? ,the results will give you a ton of info. I would turn them into Kindle books. You could probably find someone to format them for you on Fiverr or elance, etc.

Kindle would be the most obvious choice but depending on your niche there are a ton of places out there some free some paid.

I would also recommend putting together some small apps with your eBook. This will give you a ton of traffic via the app stores. You could even offer a free version of first chapter with the upsell to purchase the whole book.

People love reading on their phones and tablets so its a great way to get traffic.

    I say craiglist and kindle.

Trust me when I say you will have to spend hours trying and testing with your listing to see what works, but it will be well worth you time.

I know there is one warrior in here doing over $6k a month just on kindle. Not sure I can remember his username, but his last post I read was killer. If you test on kindle I think the results are limitless...the thing is, you will have to spend hours writing and testing to see what works....and 99% of the people out there are not willing to test.

By the way all my eBooks are unique and never sold...so, you'll never have problems when it comes to duplicate contents.
Why would anybody write a bunch of ebooks with no plan to do anything with them?

Can you recommend a place where to sell them? I've heard about amazon, but I actually don't know where to start and how to start selling my eBooks in amazon. I'd appreciate any help.

    Thanks!
It seems that you have a passion for writing. If you are interested mainly in writing but not in marketing the books and don't want to spend your time in learning how to sell on kindle or elsewhere, then my advice would be to stick to what you do best and keep writing. Then sell of these ebooks as PLR products on IM forums. Or else, you might find clients and do writing for them.

The basic idea is to stick to what you do best and try to earn money from it. Many people here on this forum just hate writing. They may be good at marketing, but they outsource most of the writing part. So, you might try to find a few clients who sell books on kindle and write for them. They will pay you for your work and then they will earn money through selling these ebooks wherever they can.

Why not make your own website and sell your books on it? Dedicated platform will most likely take you a percentage of the tag price, but on your website, you get to keep it all. Just make sure you don't sell the same ebook to more than one person.

If your ebook is of good quality you can sell a lot on Amazon, but you have to sell for a lower price verses if you created your own site and old it.

I would bundle them as PLR and sell them as a warrior special offer.
If you have that many, you could even do some of them as an OTO.
Could you combine them into a long ebook and perhaps publish it?
