Newbie questions on walgreen and amazon

I am very new to affiliate marketing. I only have 6 months of experience. Right now I am mostly doing lots and lots of reading and video courses.

I have a stupid question. Are walgreen, youtube, and amazon authority sites?

    What is your keyword?

Also, and I can only speak for Amazon and Youtube, one is owned by Google and the other is the largest online retailer in the world. Of course Google trusts these sites, and their domain power shows in almost every niche.

As for Walgreens? Depends on the niche I guess. I can say from personal experience I have never once come across a Walgreens page when doing keyword research. You in the Rx niche?

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Yes the sites you mention are all authority sites, that Google has given a high pagerank.

If the sites are not targeted, you can outrank them. It's the same with Wikipedia and About, which mostly rank because of their root domains authority. Google is just waiting for some better sites to replace them with

When deciding if you think you can outrank them, please take a look at the other pages on page 1. If they are laser targeted, it might be harder to conquer the #1 spot than expected.

    Good luck

Amazon dominates Google search for almost any major product niches. Very hard to drive traffic from if you are selling Amazon stuff.

I make a killing as an Amazon affiliate. Most of my product reviews hit page one within minutes of publishing. Driving traffic as an Amazon affiliate is not hard at all if you know what you are doing.

I would also like some clarification please.

I have been out of the game for a while and just started doing some niche keyword research again.

To my dismay, I noticed that Google search results for tons of different products are now FULL of Amazon links! In some cases, Amazon is the #1 result.

Is it even possible to make good money as an Amazon affiliate anymore now that Google is weighing direct Amazon links so heavily? To get ranked #1, we basically have to beat the Amazon listing now, right???

They are easy to beat. I do it all the time. Just don't target products that a million other people are targeting because then, even if you do outrank Amazon (which isn't important, by the way), yo still have a million other affiliates to compete with.

When it comes down to affiliate marketing....why would you want to tie yourself to the likes of walgreen's? I think you need to find a different target market.....just a thought.

Walgreens is good for 1 thing, and 1 thing only: Screwing you over. You'll never see me post anything with such negativity as you will by mentioning the word Walgreens in front of me.

    *spits*

    I hate that place.

PS: And no, this is not sarcasm. I truly hate that place. I would sit here and tell you to spin articles on automatic mode all day long before I would tell you to set foot in one of their stores.
