Which Youtube Link Do You Bookmark?

Okay, seems like there is conflicting info on this. I have used different links with same results, but wanted to ask for some opinions here.

When you bookmark a youtube video which link do you use?

1. Short Link
2. Long Link
3. Actual url in browser when viewing video

Both redirect to the same place, so for SEO purposes, it really doesn't matter. As you pointed out, you get the same results with both.

However, I use the URL that's in the browser address bar.

I use the long link that shows up when you click to view the video.

Sometimes I'll also use the short link that comes up when you click "share" the video, to mix it up.

But from my experience using just the long link in your back links and anchor text works very well.

I usually use the long link if I'm linking from a blog or forum but if I'm sharing on any kind of social media I'll use the short link. Seems to make sense but I really have no idea if it makes a difference.

Normally I use the url link because WordPress will automatically insert the video into the post.

If on an HTML page, I use the embed link.

I really don't think it makes any difference as far as SEO goes, but I don't have anything more than anecdotal evidence to back that up.

Yeah I had been wondering that. As sometimes when I click to go onto my video from an embedded version of it on my blog it will display a different URL in the browser.

I just have been taking the URL that comes up when I click to get onto the video directly from the Google search rather than the extras that clicking from elsewhere on your YouTube channel etc might create for it.
