What if internet marketing will die?

What would you do if internet marketing will die, will not exist anymore and it wouldn't be possible on making money online?
For example i would get a job in banking or become a sales assistant on an auto dealer.

I know you said "what if", but you should know that internet marketing is already dead, as are...

    AdSense
    ClickBank
    Article marketing
    The Warrior Forum
    Blogging
    Outsourcing
    Product creation
    CPA
    AdWords
    Google
    MFA sites
    Arbitrage
    Traffic Exchanges
    Squeeze pages
    List building
    Forum marketing
    Fiverr
    Facebook
    eBay
    Skype
    Offline marketing
    PLR
    Ghostwriting
    Kindle
    Amazon
    Affiliate marketing
    WSOs
    and Webinars.

Even though all of these things are dead, I'm still doing fine.

Now, IF all of a sudden I wouldn't be able to sell online I still can't imagine working for a boss. Actually, I can imagine it...which is why I don't do it.

But why even think about it? What good does it do? Why not expend your brainpower on something more positive and productive?

    All the best,

Not sure all these things are dead as they are doing ok for me. I have offline business consultancy which I use internet marketing to promote. I would just go back to marketing traditionally, exactly what people did successfully before the internet.

Internet marketing can't die unless the internet dies.

Internet marketing is simply one arena where marketing takes place.

Maybe you're talking about the *niche* of internet marketing, and more specifically selling IM products to other IMers?

It won't die altogether but many things that we do now will not be viable in the future. In much the same way as what we have done in the past, may not necessarily be viable now. We need to adapt as we nurture many different streams of income.

To answer your question, "what would you do if?, my advice
to anybody that is young and has a college degree would be
to get a job as an insurance agent selling property and casualty
      insurance.

Over time you will build up a very nice business that will
      pay you until you die.

Now to those who are saying the Internet will not die.
I totally agree, but it sure does change and I think
our biggest threat is the US government. More laws,

OP, you crack me up! Internet Marketing dieing? Marketing is marketing. It has been around forever and it's not going anywhere soon as long as there are products to sell and buyers to buy.

Internet marketing is growing like never before, especially now that mobile is blowing up worldwide! More and more people are buying on their phones.

But, if the world did end and technology vanished, I guess I would work on a farm or something. LOL

How saturated and competitive to do you think IM is at this current time, guys? Obviously it's getting MORE competitive and more saturated, but I mean compared to other industries.

What do you think the Supply vs. Demand is?

I know we always have to adapt, but do you think that overtime you can develop a competitive edge so that you don't always have to work so hard and be so clever?

I would like to think that you could build your business to the point that you are established and don't always need to be playing cat and mouse with Google and a million other people trying to steal your business.

What if internet marketing will die? Then that I'll be p-ssed big time! You see, me and millions of others are relying on internet marketing to pay their bills, feed their families, and send their kids to school.

This is such a very freaky question but it makes sense. What if internet marketing suddenly vanishes from the face of the internet? What happens to us internet marketing-dependent mortals? How can we ever make money again from this cruel world?!

Unless, of course, you are born with a silver spoon and your mom and dad are royalty that would never be a problem. But for us struggling small entrepreneurs or minimum wage earners, we would be doomed if internet marketing dies.

When that happens - we die as well. I try my best at the moment to think about nice and positive things, like buying my own Ferrari one day, or building my own online internet marketing empire. You see, I don't think it makes sense to waste our time thinking about the bad things in life, but then again, nothing beats being prepared.

I'm not yet prepared to live my life without internet marketing. It is my bread and butter. In my opinion, Internet marketing will live for a very long time. It can't die just yet because it has millions of people who depend on it. Internet marketing is here to stay.

Geez people he's asking a hypothetical question about what you would do without the existence of the ability to make money online. No need to argue about whether or not it will last.

In my case, I would probably resort to actually working in some corporate job in some office. Eventually when I save up enough money and get tired of working slave labor for a boss, my entrepreneurial ambition will finally encourage me to quit my crappy office job and start an offline marketing/promotion business. Believe it or not, online marketing knowledge CAN come in handy in even offline endeavors.

Funny you should mention that - I was just thinking along those lines.

Back when people thought we were going to plunge into anarchy upon the coming of "Y2K", I remember crossing the street in front of my workplace while talking with a co-worker. We noticed a homeless guy (one of the local regulars) walking across the street and I said "If the whole world goes to hell on Y2K, there's the guy who will survive - he probably won't be affected at all!".

OK, we all know that internet marketing will never die.

The make money online niche will always be BOOMING like opportunities in the network marketing industry. Regular affiliate programs will go down in sales because more and more people will realize that they are just making the vendor rich and will look into MLM online.

I believe that the smart internet marketers are actually making money from interest and investments, not IM. If I made 10k every month, that's what I'd be doing. It gives better security for the future

The internet is nothing more than a marketing medium. Asking what if IM will die is like saying what if TV die. Ads have to be sold because there is always a human need to consume something. Whether that something is mobile apps, food, shelter, or, transportation. Marketing isn't going to die just like you're aren't ever going to stop having a need to eat, use soap, or, have shelter. We are talking about an infrastructure here. C'mon....even if infrastructure dies you live off the land and barter. Understand?

The only thing that's constant in life is change that's true for business as well..so those who change & adapt with time,..survives..I don't think that internet marketing is going to die...Do u think that the world will stop buying & selling one day...as long as there is trade.. internet market will survive .. However I do believe internet marketing to change & evolve with time for sure..those who adapt will survive & rest will die...at the moment I'm not gonna kill myself thinking whats gonna happen to internet marketing..rather concentrate my efforts on positive things...to be a better internet marketer.

I would continue to make good money as a Program Manager and make my wife work longer hours at the hospital. Marrying a Nurse Practitioner was the best investment I've ever made.

BTW, I believe the OP was misinterpreted. I don't believe he intended to state that IM will die. He's basically asking, "What would you do with your life if IM ceased existing tomorrow?" It's an interesting, fun question.

Marketing consulting, direct mail, instead of selling digital good you sell physical goods/services. No difference if you know marketing just medium shifts.

P.S. Does your wife have a sister? I need to put someone to work as an astronaut. When the world collapse we could move to a new planet. Now that would be quite the investment

        Too funny!

People ask me about her sister all the time. You'd fall in love if you saw just one pic. She looks like Jamie Chung from the Hangover 2, and she's currently working on her MBA.

It doesn't matter if it dies or not. We were able to survive back in the days with out all of these technology we sure can do it again and a lot better than we did before.

it will only die if we let our government take control of it. Be aware of what is going on and help make sure those people in DC dont make decisions based on assumptions.

There are always companies looking to market their 'stuff' and as long as the internet evolves and adapts there will be cash to be made. Those companies dont have the time or expertise to do the marketing so they will continue to look at 'outsourcing' which many of you do basically. You market or provide a service for someone and they pay you for it. Or you market your "stuff" and people pay you for it
