What would you do with 13000+ backlinks?

I hope I have your attention. I did say 13000+ backlinks. This could be a conservative number but I hope to see if it can be done, within 30 days.

I am working on a new twist of an old favorite marketing technique. I am not going to specify just which one yet, as I need to get all the materials in place and setup for a 30 trial run of this technique.

I am hoping to be able to implement this method each day, which will take some time to ramp up, but by the end of 4 weeks, I hope to be able to claim at least 13000 potential backlinks. Again, this might be more, might be less. We'll see.

I am using a very simple mathematical formula, which if I can prove my theory will be quite a smashing case study in how to "literally beat the search engines into submissions".

I know people will want to know more, and I am sorry I cannot tell you yet. I will post some daily information on backlinks to the site that is being used for this test.

I will use no other methods then this one technique. So I will not link the site in forums, blogs etc.

If anyone has a good backlink checker program / site to use, I would appreciate using something that people trust to know I am not making the links up.

I still need a day of two to get everything in place, so wish me luck, I will keep you all posted.

Use Yahoo! Site Explorer as the tool to check that the links are valid. They do a pretty good job of making sure they're all there.

Then you end up with 32000 backlinks at the end of the month.

Now ive used this before and my god does it work.... i had i think 67,000 ebook download within 2 or 3 months and thousands of uniques a day.

All i did to market was post on the digitalpoint freebies section and it went viral.

Unfortunatly i didn't know or was stupid not to monetize on this properly and only made $200 from this as i added a $20 buy now link to paypal for people who didn't want to send it to their 20 friends.

      Viral marketing is powerfull.

Well, its not Viral in that people will need to do as you mention, although you could implement that technique in with mine and potentially compound the links structure. I might have to rethink this option as a possible future experiment.

Just remember its all about quality, not quantity.

Purchase one ROS (run-of-site), link and you can get more than that in one fell swoop but it won't be very beneficial to ranking, though. (There are many linking schemes that I have done over the years.)

What ever method you go about getting those quality links, I hope you are successful in reaching your goal.

Quality is my number one goal. These links will all contain relative keywords geared to the site itself.

This is not a "scheme" but a valid technique that is already being use by myself and many other people, just going to place a new spin on it is all.

It will either succeed or fail, I will find out which.

This is all great that you got those with one forum post, but can you teach that to others and is it reproducible? If it is, then by all means share it, if not then perhaps that was a one time event. Perhaps you have more "clout" then a new person starting out. Perhaps you already have a large list.

This method I am working on will allow a person to reproduce the results, if they want to, and will be workable by anyone who wants to put forth the time and effort involved.

    Ok, I'm interested... =)

In terms of link tools, sometimes I use this one: Link Popularity Check - Marketleap Search Engine Marketing Tools
Basically puts yahoo and google counts beside each other which is handy.

I also like this one: Link Diagnosis - examine your link competition for the additional info it provides.

As a SEO expert (not trying to blow any trumpets), I would be concerned with driving that many links to a site within 30 days especially if it is a new site or a site with very few backlinks already.

Viral marketing can have a great influence on a new site if it catches the world by storm (this has happened) but I am pretty sure that Google with it's 187 rules of ranking will be able to balance and determine a "World Wide Phenomenon" from a "Link Fest".

However, I will be watching this thread with curiosity.

Let us know if this is a new domain and how many pages you have on this site. Also, are you deeplinking or just linking to the homepage?

Best of luck with your experiment.

As stated earlier, not really a viral technique as defined, but could also be implemented with a viral component. Right now I am shooting for links from different sites, on a consistent long term basis.

The domain is not being used, but not entirely new. I am testing this on a domain I bought a few months ago but never used. I will look up the age, but I pretty sure it is less then 6 months.

Again, not entirely caring about Google draw. even if Google were to sandbox the site, you would still get traffic from the links that are being generated.

All be it, having Google love does not hurt. But I am not going to "fear the Big G".

Well best of luck to you. A lot of people do focus on link building for raking with Google so was kinda curious on that score. If you are not worried about Google theoretical sandbox then there are certainly plenty of ways to build thousands of solid links back from search engines.

Let us know how it goes.

I read about someone's success targeting "Top Commenter" blogs that grant site-wide links to the most frequent commenters. Targeting these was an effective strategy, but it doesn't spread the links across many domains.

How much traffic these 13000 links could generate per month? Is it general or particular niche based traffic?

    Never heard of it? REKLI??

I am not sure how I will verify the links yet. I know service like Check page rank can check links but have been failing a lot lately. Seems some sites are not allowing these services to check properly.
