Traffic techniques - how many per day

Hi, I am interested to hear from successful internet marketers. I am new to all the amazing methods of generating traffic. I have been advised to chose just "two" and practice these for a minimum of 30 days to see how many people they attract.

Just interested in hearing how many you use per day or any other techniques you use.

Many thanks

I believe it would depend on what you are trying to sell, what kind of site you have, etc. What kind of budget? Are you in a competitive niche or no?

I agree with this, but to answer your question, I use only 3 methods and I have learned to master those 3 methods.

I think what you need to do is to familiarize yourself with as many methods as possible and decide which two or three will be the best for you. Then master those methods.

Its more a question of time than anything else, you can't possibly use 30 different traffic generation methods effectively.

Well, any kind of site you have optimizing some keywords related your site would give you search engine visitors and search engine visitors are targeted visitors as well.

Thanks guys. I am marketing a website (squeeze page) to begin with about building your own website. I am trying to build my list to begin with and offer free value content and then at a much later date trying to sell membership to a site for affiliate marketing.

I have been overwhelmed by the different methods. I have Google Analytics installed so will be able to see from that where the traffic is coming from. I just wondered how many different techniques everybody else uses for interest :-)

        That sounds like a plan
I guess the fastest way is to find a coaching program and follow the one who has succeed in the area you are interest in. This would probably shorten your learning curve instead of trying everything by yourself.

One of the big reasons for picking just 1 or 2 traffic generating methods is that a lot of times people can get overwhelmed trying tons of different methods and realizing none of them are working because they're not putting in the real time needed on any of them.

I do think people should really focus, at least at the start, on 1 or 2 different strategies until they see some success or failure then move on instead of spreading themselves too thin.

That being said it really does depend on what you want your traffic to do, if you want them to buy cleaning products they will most likely be different than if you want them to click on ads for travel.

Just like social media marketing, think about what your target users wants and interest are and let that be a guide.

Print off some leaflets / flyers - Head over to your local library or bookstore and stealthily place a flyer in each beginner HTML/CSS/Web Dev/Web Design book you can find

I'm very successful as an Amazon affiliate and that's because I target low competition products. Since I target low competition stufff, I usually rank on page one quickly. As such, my preferred traffic strategy is organic traffic.
