Is there a quicker method to submit EZA articles? I got a problem...

Hello fellow warriors,

I have been spending a lot of time on article marketing. This forum has taught me a lot on the subject which has now become my main source of traffic. I focus on EZA. Works brilliantly! Thanks for that warriors!

Now I got a problem. I got a full-time job which takes up most of my day and I usually got to work on the weekends. So my free-time is quite limited.

I usually outsource the article writing and get a good healthy batch of articles each week. I also write my own whenever I have time.

My problem now is the time it takes to post the articles on EZA. What I do is I review each article before posting it. It takes time to review and edit the work of the article writer, to make sure its suitable for submission. Then I got to put in the title, article summary, keywords and so on. Some of these things take little tiime, others take longer. It is averaging me about 1 hour to submit 4-5 articles, sometimes as little as 3 will be submitted. That is a lot of my time, as I am hoping to submit 50 articles week, but I don't have 5-10 hours to spend just on article submission, I got a lot of other things to work on to build my online businesss.

So my question is....what can I do to solve this problem? Should I outsource the article editing and submission to someone? I am worried about giving someone access to my EZA account as that is my bread and butter and they can do some real damage for whatever reason.

If I was to outsoruce, how much should i pay for an hour and how many articles should I expect they submit in that hour?

If some of you could share your experiences on this issue and recommend a service or virtual assistant who does this, I would be most grateful.

Thanks,

Mark

Mark, you might want to look into a professional VA (virtual assistant) service that could help you with this. Usually they charge by the hour, but I think there are some who do by the job also. I would feel more comfortable going with a service than an individual unless I was familiar with that individual or they were recommended by someone I trusted.

I don't have any recommendations for VA services, hopefully someone else will.

    Hey I've found these tips:
5 Tips for optimising your articles for Ezine Articles:
    Article length
Your article need not be long pieces of work. In EZA you can write a minimum of 300 words for an article which can be done in no time once you are practiced. I have seen me writing 4 articles in the space of an hour after I have done about 20 minutes research on a topic. I generally write between 500 - 800 word articles which is my preference. I like to give a lot of information in articles.

First I type in the basic phrase which my article is about. So using the example above I would type in 'meditation' - I can see from wordtracker that 'meditation' gets searched around 1500 times per day and in Google It has around 36,000,000 pages with the search term 'meditation', which is far too much to get a high ranking on google and is too generic for EZA. So I would narrow it down and use words that are similar. Eventually I came up with 'meditative' which has around 10 searches per day according to wordtracker, and according to google has around 3,600,000 pages with the key word 'meditative' which is okay for a long tail keyword.
Now I have found the main keyword I need to find a hook for the EZA readers and build my heading around the main keyword. After thinking about it for a few minutes I come up with a few. Consider the follwing two headings:
    Reaching a meditative state
How to reach a deep meditative state within 8 minutes

It's pretty obvious which one most people would click on. The second heading has some key psychological hooks in it e.g. 'How to' 'Deep'& 'Within 8 minutes' these are all little hooks that grab the readers attention.
You might think it's hard work for a heading but it is well worth it and when you get used to writing articles you can do all this within a few minutes.
    Keyword density
A lot of marketers pay a lot of attention to keyword density which is the number of times a keyword or key phrase is placed in an article. Some say it's good to have around 2% keyword density others say around 5%. I have to say I don't give this much credence but as a general rule I will use the keywords or phrases at the beginning, middle, end and sometimes in the resource box. Keyword density is purely for Google as google will give it more attention if it thinks it is a relevant piece of work for a choosen keyword.
However, EZA will not accept keyword stuffing so I would use the keywords and phrases conservatively and make sure they are at the beginning, middle and end. Occassionally you can also have them in bold such as in headings or sub headings.
    Break it up
If your article is going to be over 400 words consider using sub headings as a way to break the article up.
I know if I see a big block of text without any subheadings or bullet points I am put off straight away, the author would have to be one of the best for it to sway me to read.
Using subheadings and bullet points is easier on the eye and can allow your reader to scan the article first before diving head first into reading it. Make sure you pay a much attention to your subheadings as you do your main headings.
You can also break a long article up into parts which will leave readers wanting more of the information you write and they might subscribe to your articles just to get the information they want.
    The resource box
This is a biggie. Your reseource box allows you to put links in them going to a website, blog or anywhere of your choice. But, it has to be done in a certain way.
Once the reader has read your article you want to entice them into clicking the link to your site. This can be done in a number of ways, here are two:
    1. Your article: Don't give the reader everything and leave them wanting more that way they aremore likely to click through to your site if you have given good information and they would like to know more about you.
    2. An offer: In your resource box have a free offer to give away to entice people to click through to your site. You can give away a free ebook, a free guide, a free white paper. I always offer a free audio sample if I am writing about binaural beats and I get a lot of people clicking through and opting into my email list.

I'll agree with bhevs - with practice and focus you can write your own articles in the same amount of time it's currently taking you to correct and submit the outsourced ones.

That's what I do - I write my own, then I outsource the submission. I have a VA in the Philippines for $350 USD per month. I've got it down to about 10 minutes per article, so that it's all ready to get shipped off... I find this a more productive use of my time than editing someone else's typically lower quality article. I get the ideas I want expressed exactly as I want them, plus I don't both with the mindless repetitive part of the tasks.

When you submit articles to article submission directories do we have to change the title and description for each one?

No, it isn't required. If you're just aiming to get the viewers that go to those article directories, and the ones that will see the blogs etc that pick up your articles, then you don't need to rename. If you're trying to get ranked in the search engines for a phrase, then all your identical articles are competing with each other...

Typically I think most people post an article first to their own site (if you're doing that), wait a week, then to EZA, wait a week, then to the rest. Depending on how much time you've got, you could do a slightly different version each time. Or just use the same one each time...

U don't need to do that, but i will advise you to include a link back to your ezinearticles. You can built backlinks for that articles and push it to the top easily.

There are several virtual assistant services that are listed commercially and some in the warrior forum that could help you with your EZA tasks. Typically I think they charge on a hourly basis, and its usually a good idea to get a thorough understanding and some good testimonials from the staff you wish to employ. There are several sources recommended specifically in the warrior forum, and if you search the threads via the search tool you may be able to find some recommendations and reliable sourcers. Hope this assists!

  • Thanks everyone for your helpful tips. So i guess the best strategy is to write the articles myself and outsource the article submission. Get rid of the mindless repetitive tasks and focus on the creative side of things.

Anyone can recommend a good VA? What is a good rate?

  • thanks. My worry is giving someone access to my EZA account. I am wondering if it is risky?

I'll dissent a bit from the others. I would never give my EZA login info to someone else you don't personally know and trust 100%. If article marketing is working well for you I'd keep doing what you're doing, even if it means doing drudge work. Just my opinion.

Would you give out your login info for your web server if you needed some customized work done that you weren't able to do yourself?

Just curious, because it is kind of the same thing.

Oh, and I would add to that, that depending on who you choose as a VA, they likely have some sort of a reputation to uphold... most people value this and won't screw it up.

Well, the difference is between being able to do something but choosing not to, and not being able to do something and not really having any other viable choice. In the case of server work, I'd at least get with my provider and try to arrange some kind of temporary access for the person doing the work. I'd also be sure I had a current backup of all files so if something went wrong I could recreate it without a hassle.

I suppose if you hired someone to submit EZA articles for you and it went badly, you could call EZA and plead your case. They'd probably be open to setting things right if you have been an author there for awhile and had submitted many articles. I still wouldn't risk it unless I felt I had no other option. In this case, it appears the OP has the option to keep doing it himself, but just wants to free up his time. In his shoes, I believe I'd find other ways to get that time. That's all I meant.

Fair enough. I guess in this specific case, an option then would be to do the EZA submissions yourself (only takes a couple minutes) and then outsource submissions to any/all other article directories you want to be on.

EZA is by far the most valuable of those accounts, and that would stay in house, and the others are useful, but not really break-the-bank devastating if something happened to one...

I am the number 2 author out of 1,900 in a highly lucrative niche.

This is my advice. First, you're wasting a lot of time. When I first started I tried to out source the articles like you are doing too. I found out it took me more time to edit there articles than write my own.

So, first forget about outsourcing, it is a waste of time and money. It only takes me fifteen minutes to write an article now. I have found the perfect length to be between 350 and 450 words. Try to have only two to three sentences per paragraph. Try and have at least 5 paragraphs per article.

Next, remember your writing "copy write material" and not educational articles. So, very little if any research needs to be done at all. All you need is a basic knowledge of your subject, that's all. To tell you the truth, I barely know anything about my niche.

You are just writing teasers, such as; you will make money if you use this, bla, bla, bla. You will solve this problem if you acquire this, bla, bla, bla. Then just make a bunch of BS how you did it.

I spend more time on the titles of my articles than I do the articles themselves. You get 100 characters in the title. I try to use all of them. Why, because it takes up two lines when they list the articles on the front page and they are more likely to be read by the viewers.

My most viewed article ever I still remember when I wrote the title thinking to myself, this will NEVER be accepted. I stuffed so many key words in the title I don't think there were any words in it that weren't keywords to tell you the truth.

The crazier and more outrageous the title, the more likely your article is to be viewed. Remember, to put you keywords in the first three words of the title, the first and last paragraph.

Try to get at least two sets of keywords in the title, if you can try and get three.

My articles are always accepted in one day and always on the first page. On some weekends I might have 5 or 6 of the articles that appear on the front page.

Ezine takes care of those that take care of them. I submit 3 articles everyday. Ezines LOVES there top authors and goes out of there way making sure they always get good placement.

I use Ezine for traffic. Not for back links. Find yourself a resource box that gets good click through rate and stick with it.

I submit to about 20 other sites using Article Submitter Pro. There I rotate my resource box. I have about 20 pre made resource boxes and just change them for each article.

Hope this helps a little. Bill.
