Question on Building a List and Auto Responder

Had this question in mind so I thought I'd ask here.
I have gotten my website, web hosting and domain. I haven't promoted the website because I still need to make a couple of changes. But anyway, When I create my squeeze page to build a list, I know this captures email that are interested in my niche. So lets say I set up the autoresponder to send Email#1, just a welcome email, trying to build that relationship.... and Autoresponder is setup to send Email#2 out in 2 days, giving more info about my niche/product... If they do decide to click the link and buy, do I remove them from the "List A" of people that I'm trying to sell to "List B" that have already bought my product? And List B would just receive maybe weekly/monthly emails that I can try to sell a different product but related to orignal product form same niche? I'm just trying to picture in my head what email I would send the people on my List B that have already bought a product from me?

Yes if you can remove them from the first list. Some products do this automagically for you - but typically they are more expensive (i.e. Marketo or Pardot).

What do you then say to the ones who bought? Why give them more valuable content! Point them to another value rich blog post. Or allow them to download a free report on subject related to the one the purchased from you. Basically continue to nurture the realtionship with value.

Because at some point you will have a new product that you will release that is packed full of good stuff. The ones who receive solid content and value from you will be the first ones in line to buy your product!

Your ideas and plans are sound, and are pretty much correct. Whenever someone buys from you, you can either buy a special software/application/script to automatically put customers into your backend marketing funnel.

Some autoresponders have automation rules you can setup. For example, Aweber lets you create actions based on a list, for example, you can have some one unsubscribe from your prospects list when then subscribe to your buyers list. To set that up though, you will need to have your buyers optin to the new list.
Here is more info from Aweber:
A Guide to Automation Rules for Your Email Campaign
Different autoresponders will have it setup up differently though.

Yea, aweber will do this automatically for you.

And it is a good idea to move them over to a buyers list that way you can sell the, different products or give them bonuses for being subscribers. There is no use selling them the same product twice.

what i think your getting at is segmenting your lists and putting them depper into your funnel

when people buy more of your products you of course then segment them into a different list and each time the product gets more expensive

as they go deeper into your funnel you will of course need to provide more follow ups and value which is what i think your trying to get at (what do you send them)

you just have to think about the fact that as they get deeper into your funnel they will be armed with more knowledge so the first couple of lists you can keep things fairly simple and provide more helpful info to do with the product which they purchased and how to use it for maximum effect

then when they get even deeper into your funnel and buying more products you can really start to get technical and get into the nuts and bolts of things because you know by this time they would of purchased quite a few products and should have a good grasp on things
