By working together we can both succeed

I've been wandering around the Forum and realized that a large percentage of warriors work on their own. I just can't work on my own and lack motivation. I find that working together on projects is fun and both parties benefit. The wealth of knowledge is also beneficial.

So for example, if I have an expensive website program with an unlimited licence, wouldn't be nice to meet/work with an expert flippa seller to add value to the sites and sell for a good profit. The net profit is then divided equally. Both parties benefit and it becomes an enjoyable experience rather than doing it all alone.

Please give me your thoughts on working alone or together.

  • I have had an office full of employees and I have had years were I worked alone. My company now is virtual in nature, so I tend to work alone. Do I like it; not really, I like synergy and working together to accomplish a goal. I think people are more success when they team up. The issue I have always come up against is most want success but when it comes time for it, they cower in the corner. Not sure why, but I have been doing this for 18+ years and I kick plenty of arse by myself, but there are times I need more of a partner input and creativity.

    That's my take on it.

Because you can not build a trust online easily, compare to the real world. When there is a single account to accept money... then the big problem is rising: SPLIT THE PROFIT FAIRLY!

Too many scammers are online everyday.
And not so many online platform to make it possible.

I agree. You cannot just jump into business with the first person that offers. You never know what they will try to do. I wouldn't go into business with anyone that wouldn't sign a contract of some sort.

I prefer working alone. I'd love to maybe share an office with people, and I like commenting on blogs etc, but I'd rather anything I make was mine.

I just like it that way.

I'm the same way. 95% of the time I'm very anal when it comes to my work, and when I do work with others I find myself trying to take over and fix mistakes (both real and perceived). So I usually just go it alone and save the trouble.

Like fin though, I like to have noise around me. Working in organized chaos (I grew up in a house of 7 kids) is how I get in the zone. So more often than not I'm actually working from Panera or the Campus Library. I get too bored and easily distracted at home.

I've been thinking of team work for a while now, but I'm not sure yet. I like team work because you can tackle a lot more areas and increase profit. Its just a the matter of who you're partnering with. I would find somone whom you have been a loyal friend for a long time.

I agree with you guys. Find the right business partner and your on a winner. The mutual benefits, motivation and creativity are increased automatically. Doing IM on your own can make one feel isolated and sometimes demotivated.

I love working alone, yes its okay to work with a team if you have clearly defined jobs and shares. But otherwise in the IM business its pretty messy.

And that's precisely why these merry "Joint Ventures" you seek almost never work.

In order to have a successful JV, both partners need to bring something valuable to the table from their respective individual positions. In business, two blunt tools do NOT make one sharp tool.

Here's a piece of advice from someone who's done his good share of failed business partnerships: sharpen up your individual skills, and then team up with other sharp partner who complete your skill set. At any rate, both tools need to be sharp.

If you individually cannot work and lack motivation (as you put it), multiplying that by a factor of two won't improve the situation. No-one will bring you the motivation if you don't have it on your own.

Especially when that person may be a guy hiding behind an avatar photo of a pretty girl, whose only real purpose in being in the WF is to sell his product.

    Hey OutNabout,

I'm actually looking for a semi newbie to work with. I have an expensive website script worth over $200 and I need someone to work on the sites. It's very easy and they only need hosting. Also ability to transfer sites and maybe write articles for the niche site. This way we both benefit
