Sometimes it's hard for us Devon folk to get the Cornish humour, but yea I was pretty sure it was in there somewhere!

Good initiative, Mark. I can't recall how many times have I answered a thread only to point the OP to that golden 'Search' function.

    Somtimes the answers change.

Sometimes a fresh perspective is needed.

Sometimes re-opening old threads causes trouble.

    HOWEVER....

The search function really is useful, and it's something I use on a regular basis.

As I was reading your post, I assumed your "magic" tool was going to be Google. Looks like we're on the same page.

I don't fault people for not using the search function though. Imagine if EVERYBODY did the for EVERY question. The WF would be deader than a doornail.

To be clear, I'm not disagreeing with you, but just saying that the search function has its place.

    All the best,
    Michael

    Mark:

No matter what I searched for using your link, it told me the answer was 1,000,047. What's the question?

    To get even better results:

Search site: warrior forum+ "keyword" on Google

For some reason I find exactly what I'm looking for using this technique.

      I use:

      warriorforum.com "keyword"

One of the many reasons why searching outside the form is useful, instructive and occasionally entertaining:

A few months back a relative newcomer breezed in here claiming to get millions of hits every month on his site. Naturally, that attracted some attention, so he graciously answered questions about how he generates that kind of traffic.

Yesterday, I wanted to post a link to the newcomer's thread, so I tried searching for what I remembered of his username using the forum search. No luck. Then I tried Google. Not only did I get his username, I got a page where he and a bunch of his buddies were chortling about how they'd put one over on the stupid dunces at the Warrior Forum.

You see, the newcomer was here in actuality to promote his new product and every time he posted, 3 or 4 of his buddies would chime in about how great the product was, carefully keywording their posts.

I don't know how much money they made doing this but they sure had a good time and were awfully proud of themselves for their cleverness.

        Right.

Maybe he was operating from several accounts he made himself. Or maybe both!
It's amazing what people do to try to beat the system when they can put
As much work or even less and achieve long term results

This. These folks might be earning satisfactorily with whatever marketing strategy they're doing. That's a short-term strategic plan to achieve success in whatever they do.
