Web Host Affiliates

Hello fellow Warriors,

I have a few web host companies I'm ready to start marketing as an affiliate. i've done the research on which ones are good to use. However, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to find targeted traffic. Any ebooks or guides? Thanks

    My suggestion would be to organize around software products that are hosted. Build pages dedicated to stuff like vbulletin hosting, phpld hosting, vtiger hosting, etc.

    One of the best methods i've ever seen that my friend does, and i've seen shared on some other forums is this:

    Put an ad out in your LOCAL newspaper, or get the yellow pages for your local area and find business's with no website. (just phone numbers, there's a lot more than you think).

    Tell them you are creating free websites to build your portfolio in the ad, and any business is open for a free website. (add in that you'l do a max of 10 pages, 1 logo, etc.)

    Go out and buy a woothemes or elegant themes subscription (whatever theme provider you like best) Then go to fiverr and get a custom logo designed (if they don't provide you one)

    Once the business's contact you for the free website, tell them they need to get a domain and hosting account. (insert affiliate link here)

    Then once they buy, put the wordpress theme and spend 1-2 hr's adding content (usually that they give you) and setting everything up.

    Presto... affiliate commissions on auto pilot. You can eventually outsource the website creation and just take the affiliate comissions.

    Slowly start to put more ads in more papers, hire someone to scrape business's with no websites and grow.

    Then the REAL money will come in by offering SEO services, or offering solo ads to seo providers with this list.

    This is a real method that makes my friend around 10k a month. I hope this helped.

      Nice method. You could also offer different packages. the free one is basic, but you could also have a $299, $499, and $999 or something. Just create a website explaining the different packages and the benefits of each, with the free one being "just good enough" in their eyes. I've done something similar on a smaller scale before and worked great.

        Yeah definitely, there's tons of different ways you can twist it.

        Even if you know nothing about website design, you can go to a freelance website or even the warriors for hire section and get a really professionally looking site down at 1/10th the cost that an offline business owner is willing to spend.

        The truth is, mom and pop small business's have the money for marketing (including online marketing), but i would say 90% just don't know how to do it. They'll overpay for the peace of mind of a "professional" to handle it.
