If you had 5 figures to invest, how would you invest it?

I was wondering the shortest route to success. If a marketer had 10 grand to invest in an online business, what would be the most effective way to go about it.

What would you do and where would you start?

There's no "short" route to success.

If at first you don’t succeed, call it version 1.0

      • Investment is risk.

For that reason, your choice of action is intensely personal. Only you know how much of a risk you're willing to take, betting on your own skills and work habits.

That's why these scenarios are so unsatisfying. There is no one-size-fits-all answer.

There's not short route to success – it takes a lot of hard work, dedication and focus. There are so many things you could do, and they could all be successful so it's truly hard to answer a question like that. Whatever you do, I would recommend you think about something that truly adds value and think about the long-term aspect of things as well.

I agree, I'm going to defiantly add value. I know that it takes hard work and dedication. That is a given.

There is *NO* short route to success in IM!

It takes time, dedication and a lot more than 5 figures to make it to 7 figures

I agree with Travis and Fluffy above. Of course you have to spend money to make money. It's all relative.

After setting up a great website with a great offer/products, etc and making sure it all works well, I would spend the money on traffic and build a list.

Once you have a big list and a great relationship with that list, you can cut back on the amount you're spending on traffic.

    All the best,

Well, given the fact that you aren't hurting for money, I'd probably start with niche blogging, where you have a blog around a particular topic like dating, video games, make money....and do product reviews and articles on stuff related to your particular niche.

It's a long-term and standard business mode for generating residual income. You can also create multiple streams of income from the same blog by doing this like e-mail marketing. You are also able to work around your own schedule and are building a "virtual asset" that can be sold like a house on the housing market.

This business model is also low-cost, which means you can save more of your money. You first start out by figuring out what niche market you want to go into. It should be profitable, one you have a interest in, and something you know a little about. It just makes things easier. Once you get the hang of promoting other people's stuff, you can start creating your own products.

money is the last thing you need to succeed... make sure you have the other things first... like:

    - a proven model

    - your ability to execute that model

    etc...

The money is only an "accelerator"... meaning once you find something that works you can use it to accelerate your results. Discovering, finding and Getting the "results" first is the key.

money is cheap once you have results.

    With $10,000 I will

    1. Create a website (wordpress platform) - hosting, domain $120/yr
    2. Write 1500 x 500 review articles of different CB products - $6,500
    3. Hire 2 VA's to do the SEO at $250/month each for 4 months ($2,000)
    4. With 1500 products and after 3 months of solid back linking by 2 people, let's assume your site would sell an average of 50 different products a day.
    5. Let's assume your average commission for each product is $20 so $20 x 50 per day is $1,000

Possible? Yes, because I am doing it already....
I just revealed one of my secrets

Step 1. identify a niche you want to go after..
Step 2. identify offers you want to promote
step 3. design a wp blog and make reviews for those offers (add value + bonuses)
step 4. set autoresponders to your reviews
step 5. Design squeze pages that convert (test)
step 6. Buy solo ads and blast the hell out your squeezes..
Step 7. Collect money and scale up..

Caution.. promote CB offers and beware of refunds.. up to 60%
promote CPA and zip offers and you can predict.. 80% of your earnings are yours to keep

Promote Physical products from networks like moreniche and you can predict 90% of your earnings is yours to keep.

    Hi Barry,

I can see there are lots of people here those who underestimate the power of money. But I strongly feel that you will have an edge over others who starts with no money.

From my experience I can tell you own products are always a way to go.

1)If you have really high energy to produce product after product then I will suggest you to get in MMO niche, where you have to do perpetual launches.

2)Else, you have to research a niche opportunity and build a digital product around it. This will cost you no more than $2000. Rest of the money you can use to test your offer and attract affiliates.

    Best Luck
