Best alternative to PayPal for WSO?

Hi guys I just wanted to see if anyone has any opinions for the best alternative to paypal for a WSO. I will be using paypal, however I think it is sometimes best to have a second option. I would appreciate it if you could make a few suggestions. Thanks.

I have not used a payment processor other than Paypal, but here is a thread that lists all the Paypal alternatives. It might help you out

In regards to the post above, WSO Pro is not an option since it is NOT a payment provider -- it uses Paypal.

One of the better alternatives is going to be Clickbank. When looking for payment alternatives you want to consider the affiliate setup since affiliates should play a big role in your launch. So you want to use a network that already has a lot of affiliates looking for products to promote. The most obvious are Warrior Plus and JV Zoo however they both use Paypal. So next in line would be Clickbank.

      Thanks for the reply Will.

How does warrior plus work? Paypal payments and can run an affiliate program?

Do you know if they support subscription payments?

      Thanks.

The Warrior Plus is payment provider. They are using PayPal as the payment processor and yes you can run an affiliate program.

They support subscription payments on their WSO Pro Standard. It's $19 license to buy the license.

A lot of people I have spoken to say Alertpay or now Payza, however I believe they have a lot of trouble accepting credit cards from time to time?

    I may look into 2co...

Can you accept wso payments through clickbank?

If you never want to get shut off by paypal, have your BUY button lead to a webpage with the "real" paypal buy buttons on it and just...tone down the income claims or anything else that seems hype-ish. 1 or 2 paragraphs with a buy button at the top and bottom, throw a money back guarantee on there and you're golden. Don't mention the WF in there, just make it a little mini pitch but don't try to sell the product again you've already succeeded in that. What this does is show paypal your source page is your own website with no outrageous claims. Everybody wins.

Contrary to what a LOT of people think, people are NOT getting their Paypal accounts limited because they are selling on the Warrior Forum. It's not the place you are selling at that's the problem -- in most cases it is the product.

If the problem were specifically the Warrior Forum then they could very easily stop anyone from using Paypal on this forum -- but they haven't.

I think one of the biggest problems Paypal had was the mentioning of affiliate programs right next to the product you were selling. They did not like this as they saw the affiliate program as part of the offer being sold -- which made things a borderline MLM type setup.

Now that the forum has banned that practice I haven't heard of anyone lately having their accounts limited. Obviously it's by no means a guarantee but if you sell a normal product without a whole bunch of hype then you should be fine.

When it comes to payment processors there are only two significant options you can look at starting with the top priority.

    1. PayPal
    2. Credit/debit card (2co more recommended)

PayPal receives the overwhelming amount of users followed by credit/debit card. Having both on your WSO help you maximize your ability to transact business worldwide.

Go for 2CO if no PayPal within your locality.

Thanks guys 2co seems to be the go. Anyone had any experiences with them? Are they likely to suspend my account if I sell on WF?

Paypal is safe and easy. Clickbank is a good alternative however if its for a WSO a WSO is supposed to be cheaper than that offered to general public.

    Thanks

      Yes, exactly so.

This is the huge advantage of 2Checkout and Plimus and ClickBank: your customers can buy the product with their PayPal accounts, without you needing to use your PayPal account to collect the money.

And if you're selling a WSO, you need people to be able to buy with PayPal, because many WSO customers have no other way of paying.

Great thanks for the info. It seems like 2co may be the go. I have looked into plimus but seems like a more difficult sign up process.

The problem Lexy is Plimus distanced themselves from MMO type sales quite a few months back, there are numerous threads on the subject, and 2CO has gotten quite strict from what I have heard, if not completely distanced themselves from MMO as well.

I recently started with a WSO & found several alternates for it but the one which I like is Alertpay, that gives you full freedom for your offerings & suits your market as well.

So there is no worry to choose AlertPay & go with a good WSO channel.

lol i agree with you. I just have to offer it or i will miss out on sales. If I can offer 2co or plimus which offer paypal to buyers but i dont have to deal with paypal directly that would be ideal i guess.

    Alertpay = Payza

2co can get expensive fairly quickly and once you start doing any volume they'll place a rolling reserve on your account. Just a fair warning.

A rolling reserve can be quite beneficial to your business in the long run... let's say you're a product creator, you create a new program and for some reason you get a high number of refunds in a short period of time.

That will surely attract 2checkout's attention and if you don't have a rolling reserve on your account you can get your account frozen.

in addition to paypal you should have a merchant account because you never know when paypal will freeze or limit your account, that's the price to pay when using paypal. A backup is defiantly needed. A good alternative to paypal is merchantinc.com I have not had any problems with them at all and the price is minimal.
