Noob with a few questions

Hello Warriors,

I'm a bit new here and have some questions.

• Is a "squeeze page" basically a landing page? Or is it like one of those pages that has information about a product?
• Can someone show me a good example of a well put together squeeze page?
• I tried to look up a niche that I was interested in on CB/Amazon but when I go to Amazon I need to enter my website URL, is this true or am I doing it wrong?

Thank you~

  • This is directly from Wikipedia and says it better than I would have:

In regards to some good examples, just go and search Google for the term 'Squeeze page' and then hit 'Images' and you will see plenty of examples of squeeze pages.

    squeeze page - Google Search

Here is an example of a nice simple and clean squeeze page that has done very well for a lot of people:

  • WillR, I always appreciate your comments - thank you.

Umm... if you are looking on Amazon to research a niche, here's what you do. If you are trying to determine if people are buying books/products on hair styling for example, when you are on the homepage of Amazon.com, you'll see a search bar across the top. Start typing hair - then wait and see what pops up. Amazon will make suggestions. Then type hair s - and see if hair styling comes up. Maybe hair dressor comes up. Or hair decoration... OK that's ridiculous but I couldn't think of another example.

I hope this answers your question.
  • A squeeze page is just a page designed for capturing info (like names and e-mail address) for the purpose of building a list, so that you can promote stuff to people down the line. As an example, lots of times in IM (before a product "goes live" or launches), you will often see a squeeze page in place of the sales page. People who want to know about the product can sign up to get info and what not.

A niche is a group of people who are searching for a solution to something and willing to pay for it (i.e. dating, weight loss, make money, gardening, electronics, sports...) When you use Amazon to find niches, an easy way to do it is to look at the best-selling magazines. The reason for this is because a lot of research goes into publishing a magazine. Magazines (and the contents which they contain), are targeted to specific demographics.
