Planning to launch a WSO, must I release another 'more expensive' version outside the forum?

I'm about to release a WSO in this forum, but before I do so, I just want to ask about a certain rule before I accidentally get myself in trouble.

The rule says that: "A Warrior Special Offer Means The Price You Give Must Be Better Than The Price The Public At Large Can Get."

Also, just recently I've been informed that what this means is that before I launch my WSO, I'm supposed to have another website that sells the same product but at a higher price.

I hope this isn't the case, because this will just make things unfair for people who buy my product from the website while others are buying the same product for much cheaper from this forum.

Any help or advice will be appreciated!

    Good question.

I believe that's generally interpreted to mean only "must be cheaper here than elsewhere, if it's available elsewhere".

There are certainly many products available only as WSO's, i.e. only here.

Also, some people certainly use the WSO route as a way of testing things out, before listing products elsewhere (e.g. on ClickBank).

As far as I can see, it could be $1 less (or even less than $1 less?) here than on your own website. Not necessarily "much" less? But I think if it's available elsewhere, the forum offer has to be a "special offer" (by price or maybe by including a bonus?). Otherwise what does "WSO" signify?

I think Alexa is spot on.

If you're not selling your product anywhere else. That's fine. But if you do you have to give Warriors a special offer.

I don't think it necessarily needs to be the price though. Could just as well be a bonus that you're not offering anywhere else if I remember it correctly.

Whoever told you this is giving you outdated information. That used to be a requirement, but not anymore.

    Exclusivity is special, too.

BUT...if you do offer it to the public at large, then your WSO must be at a lower price than that. However, there may be an exception for private sales, such as to your list. I could be wrong on this.

    Public price: $47
    WSO price: $27
Price for your list or forum memebers: $22

Again, I could be wrong on that last point, but that is my understanding.

Ultimately, it's about your WSO being a great value for the people here. So, even if you don't sell it to the public, you should still give WF members a really good price.

    All the best,
    Michael

    A better question is...

"Planning to launch a WSO, CAN I release another 'more expensive' version outside the forum?"

You shouldn't just design products for the sole purpose of selling them on the WSO forum. By doing so you are limiting yourself and your potential. Anything you can sell on the WSO forum should be able to be taken to the market outside of the Warrior Forum -- which is indeed much bigger than what's between these walls.

Yeah absolutely agree with you, Will. I also planned to sell my WSO product to my main website. Many Warriors here also sell their WSO product to Click Bank for bigger price and make more profit to their pocket. Brilliant.

Unfortunately thats why it seems everyone is releasing wso's! because people are being taught you only need to sell a wso on the forum! it's getting a bit on the mad side!!!

Your WSO can't be the same price as your product listed elsewhere. So if you already have it listed elsewhere you have to lower your price to "technically" sell it in the WSO section.

That said if your product isn't offered anywhere else then your WSO listing is the lowest by default--meaning you are well within the guidelines of the forum.

As for creating a product solely for the WSO section? Ensure you are building a LIST in the process!

I think the WSO marketplace has radically changed since those rules was written.

as far as i know yes you do have to release it at a higher price outside of the forum

even if it`s only a dollar, it just has to be more expensive
