First Sale Experience!!!

Ok, a few days ago i posted a thread on "What ever happened to ClickBank," a few post from my fellow warriors came, and they were really interesting,so i started looking into CB, found a product i liked and thought "why not build a site around it advertise it?" I got as much free traffic from social sites and like 3days ago i made my first sale i forgot i had the ability to blink while i was looking at the computer screen, no sooner than later i felt like jumping out the window then i realized that it was a long way down, so i changed my mind. The feeling is like nothing you can explain, to say the truth i didn't expect it, a few years back i was doing IM for money, i never made a dime, recently i started reading posts and i realized it's more of a hobby now. I have been reading a few posts from a couple of newbies trying to quit because of reasons like, "I want results today," or "it's too complicated" after a few tries. It takes time and experience, learn as much as you can before making any moves and before you know it results start coming. I have made two more sales so i guess i'm on the right path. I just thought i should share this thread to serve as some motivation, to whomever. Anybody else want to share the First Sale Experience?

I made my first sale promoting a male enhancement product. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was exciting to see that making money online was really possible. I went through a lot of struggle to get to that first sale. I made a decision before I even got the first sale that I would not ever quit until I was financially free from internet marketing.

    Good job with the sale!

I remember about 7 years ago was my first ClickBank experience. This is back in high school so being able to make money online was awesome because I never had to work a minimum wage job back then.

Yes.. It's a rush experiencing sales. I remember my first sales in 2001 with The $5 Page where you made 5 bucks for every email address you collected. That was back when they used PayPal replicating pay button pages. There is no feeling like making money online.. nothing compares to living the dream!

I made my first sale in december 2001 I think. That was months after I was working with free joins mainly and pay per click programs. That day I couldn't believe anyone is even paying online for stuff. And then 2 more sales came the next day I think, or at least close to it.

I can't wait to join the club. I'm just starting out and I'm in the "research" phase. I've spend a lot of time browsing topics in these forums and other places, but this seems to be the best destination for quality information. I think I'm at the point where I need to decide which of the many paths I'm going to choose to attempt my first project and go from there. Definitely hope to see it result in a near future success story. Fingers crossed.

Once you find the path that you are going to choose, take your time and learn all the in's and out's, pro's and con's be patient before making any move and when you know you are finally ready, make your move, and i promise you, you wont be disappointed and by the way my fellow warriors up to date i have had five sales on the same CB product i was promoting.

First off congratulations on your first sale! And be careful of the window hehe.

You have done what many people never manage to achieve. Now its a case of building on there. Work out exactly what you did to make that sale and build on it! It worked so it will work again just keep at it!

The first sale is always the hardest so you have made it past the hardest part already! Keep going!

      Congratulations!!

The only thing I've ever sold was my writing skills and my time, but I'm not sure that counts.

I DO remember the first writing gig I got though. I had posted something in a forum. My post and the forum were completely unrelated to IM, making money, work from home, etc. A gentleman sent me a PM and complimented me on my writing skill. He then asked if I would be interested in doing some writing for him, and offered me $20 for each 1000 word article I could do on his topic.

At that point, I had a J.O.B, working outside of my home, but I quickly agreed, and I was excited. It was through him that I also learned about the freelance websites, so I started building up my reputation on those sites as well. Eventually, he hired me to do customer service for him, and I even did VA work for him for a long time. He paid very well, and I was able to quit my job. He made his money and then retired...but before he retired, he made sure that I had some other clients to write for. I was very lucky to be in the right place, at the right time, writing a post in a forum that had nothing to do with freelancing or earning money online. That was back in 2001.

I'm currently working on my first non-service product, and hope to join the "I made my first product sale" club very soon!

Keep doing what you are doing since it is obviously working!

      Best,

      Shyley

My first sale was an Amazon product..

It came after being online for about 3.5 years..

Not as speedy as some, but the feeling is just as awesome..

"I did it, I put this thing together, and it works"

I still smile when I think about reading
the monthly report from Amazon and
never having had an email like this from them..

I had to log into my account to make sure it was real..

I agree that the first one is sooo huge! There's no feeling like it. After that it's about duplication. My first $ came accidentally. I bought a domain several years ago when I was in the Navy and about a month later I got an email from someone asking to buy it. I told them it wasn't for sale and they didn't stop. Then I got a call from Jim Cramer and he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. LOL. Since then I have been hooked. Just keep pluggin away and you'll get what you need out of it.

like you mentioned in your post most people give up before they achieve success. Time and time again I see many people give up right before they could be achieving great success with making money online. I think that is a big shame because of the fact that making money online is possible you just have to keep working at it. I failed in the past when I first started and I feel real bad but I kept working at it and eventually I was able to actually make some money online. I think the biggest thing is I had belief that it was possible and that I could really do it so therefore I never did stop. I think that many people need to also believe that it really is possible and they also need to believe in themselves and no that they can achieve great success if they are willing to put the work into it. Rather you work at a job where you work online you need to put work into it to get anything out of it.

I remembered I made my first offline sale many years ago before I learned how to use
a desktop computer. I sold some MLM make up and household cleaner products but
I was not very happy because I had expected to make MLM my main source of income.
I soon found out I was not good in selling or recruiting and stopped my MLM biz.

As for my first online sale , it was about a couple of years ago . I made some affiliate
commissions which went into my Paypal account. I was very happy even though the amount was not big, because I had proven to myself that it is possible to make money
    as an affiliate.
