Sorry, but you're too late to the party.

    SEO is dead.

    Article marketing is dead.

    AdSense is dead.

    Affiliate marketing is dead.

    Everything is dead.

Time to pack it up and go home.

But, if you haven't started to try to make money online yet, that's good news for you. It means you haven't wasted months or years of your life trying to squeeze a dollar out of a website in the midst of everything dying. So, count yourself lucky on that point.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

It is never late in IM. I totally disagree with you. Nothing is dead.
SEO is not dead at all. SEO has become the cleanest than ever. There will be no more spamming for backlinks.
Article marketing is not dead. Still you can get high search engine respect from high quality article directories.
Adsense earning has become tough but not dead yet. Many people are still earning money with it. It requires a lot of patience and the best use of adsense ads in a website.

Please do not discourage people. Motivate a newbie, encourage them to learn rather than thinking about money straight away. This will help them.

I think you missed the irony intended - Around here we see so many "IM is Dead", "Affiliate Marketing is Dead", "SEO is Dead" threads, we often make fun of them at times like these...

Hey cjreynolds, like Sheila I also missed the irony of Dan C. so far.
I may be wrong but I think he meant what he said and I find it hard to believe your justification of his comment.
          Somebody said:

The first thing you should do if you decide to purchase a program from someone, is to do research on the program to find out if it really works.

A lot of the programs around today, provide outdated or useless techniques for making money online.

You can find a lot of good information here, but like louie6965 said, it will take time to go through all the information here. But this is also not something you want to jump into with out the right information.

If you are a decent writer and like most newbies, looking to "make money on autopilot while you sleep", I would suggest that you write a great little book on a subject that you know a lot about, and then Publish it on Amazon Kindle.

      It could be anything from

"How to Control Your Unruly Kids"

      to a book about

"Why Silver Is The Best Investment For 2012"

It doesn't have to be very long, 10,000-15,000 words is plenty as long as there is no "fluff", and you are actually writing about stuff you know.

I am suggesting Kindle because it bypasses a lot of the obstacles that you may otherwise face as a "newbie".

When you publish a book on Kindle you don't need to worry about:

      a) Generating traffic (Getting targeted traffic at a reasonable cost is where a lot of newbies fail)
      b) Building a website that converts (Amazon takes care of all that for you)
      c) Setting up payment systems and other technical stuff (Thanks again Amazon!)

Kindle is kind of "entry level" to making money online, assuming you are a decent writer,(or learn how to outsource the writing). Don't count on becoming a millionaire overnight, (unless you write the next "50 Shades Of Grey"), but there is a lot of upside to it.

      - You can start to earn some money fairly quickly. (Doesn't everyone want to!? )
      - You will learn other marketing techniques when you promote your book, (you will want to promote it outside Amazon once its published).
      - You are much less likely to fail completely, (i.e. not make any money at all), than with other methods.
      - Once you have a non-fiction book that is selling ok you can build a website with a squeeze page where you give away a free report to those who buy your book. (It's easy to go in and make changes to a Kindle book even after its published). That way you are building an email list of buyers that you can promote to in the future. Cool, ha?

Kindle is one of the best option if you want to get your feet wet and start to make some money online.

      Good luck!

          Glad I could help.

I am not too fond of of the search function here on WF but if you use Google instead and do a search like this:

site:warriorforum.com "whatever it is you want to learn more about"

You will be amazed at the amount of information available here on the WF. Not all of the advice given is accurate and correct though, so use your own judgement in regards to who you can trust...

Added: I just gave some more details on how I use the "squeeze page technique" I explained above on Kindle over here.

I think I came across about this syntax one or two days ago. This looks like an effective technique when doing a research. I'll better forward this to our Ops Team so our writers can do this on their research. Thank you The Real Deal.

I've noticed that over the past couple of years. All the sites that rely on Google for their search function give horrible results. Where as if you go right to google and do the same search like whateveryouresearching for warriorforum as the search then you find things in a snap. Great Observation.

Seems like you want something for nothing. In the street you gotta give first before you receive. BTW, asking this question is a ripe way to get taken advantage of.

Yeah, totally agree with you but the man (johnsmith) seems to be lost in all the huge amount of stuff out there and maybe he's only asking for a hand about where to start from. I can't help him because sometimes i get overwhelmed as well with the incredible amount of different IM offers I receive daily go here, go there, don't do this, do that, forget all you know, do SEO, don't waste time SEOing, do PPC, be carefull with PPC, this is the true, and the like.
Anyway salesgurus, I'm with you: the man made a question very tough to be answered:confused:

hello, just go to "search this forum" on the main internet discussion forum and type in "newbie." I got a lot of good threads just based on that one word! Read through those and once you figure out which direction you want to go (they will all talk about squeeze pages, click bank, blogging, article marketing, etc.) pick one and do another search just on that and then you have more useful information. Good luck!

Ahhh the always popular how to make money question. This is a place where you can find loads of info to help you make a choice on how to make money. There are so many ways to do it, it is silly. CPA, Affiliate marketing, products, on and on. I would look in the make money forum. There are a tone of free products there that will introduce you to many different ways. Pick one you like and sounds in line with your skill set and then learn about traffic, and get to it.

I think that nowadays Facebook could be a good chance.
SEO? it takes incredible amounts of work and time. And Google is very dangerous.
PPC? it can work but only if you know how. You can make money investing money, but you can loose your shirt if you don´t use the right platforms.
I didn' try with Facebook. If somebody knows a good product not fluff that really delivers, pls let me know.
    Thank you guys.

Your question is not a serious one and does not deserve helpful hand from others. If you are seriously interested to make money online, you need to invest your time on it. Nothing is so much easy that you come and join the party. This forum is all about, making money online. So it's better to read the posts and comments to understand how people are making money.

There are a lot of ways to earn money from online.
But you need to have a first class calibers ,other wise you may loose.

For article writing you have good skills in English,
web developing you must have good programming sills .

Just earn your caliber and choose your way.

I too was struggling with the same question. Then I realised almost everyone that makes money has a list. So I decided to start building my list using a simple system like the one in my signature file.... No autoresponder needed, very simple and useing the power of google.
I thus advise you to also start building your list. With a list so many options open up ...you can even leverage off other peoples WSO by promoting their WSO to your list ...with some irresistable bonusses of course.

Not to be cryptic but look at it like this:

Making money online is like a puzzle - you have all the pieces but it is up to YOU to put them together.

You can of course pay for coaching or a mentor but you will need some cash to invest.

Best thing you can do is browse around the forum and see which method resonates with you, i.e article marketing, video marketing - pick something that you think you will enjoy and then dedicate an hour to studying the topic and an hour to DOING.

Keep going, make mistakes, learn from them and don't give up and you will get there.

therichb... when you say eBay amazon and then affiliated marketing. I thought affiliated marketing was part of selling products from eBay and amazon... or do you mean just buy low and sell high from those websites?

wow such a broad question , id recommend reading up on a few elements and limiting yourself to one particular income stream and make sure you STICK to that 1.

Dont fluctuate or change your path , thats where you lose focus

First of all, continue reading the Warrior Forum. This place is full of great information and I think you'll find the community here to be very helpful in terms of pointing you in the right direction. Most importantly, focus on a niche that you enjoy and have some level of passion about. If you choose something that you really don't like, regardless of the pay out, you will eventually burn out. So, decide what you're really interested in, and take it from there. Best of luck

Very general question but I can put down a few suggestions:

    1. Write articles for others and earn money. You will need some sample articles to show before you're in business. Of course if you can't write well this may not be for you.

    2. Website/ SEO assistance - You can help marketers by building backlinks or helping them make websites. You can learn how to build backlinks/ making websites from this forum or doing a search on Google for tutorials.

    3. Build your own site and monetize it with Adsense(Ad agency owned by Google) or by promoting products from Amazon that sell well or from Commission Juncion/ Clickbank both of which have a large variety of products(Clickbank contains digital products only)

You can get several ideas if you browse through the Warrior Special Offers and Members Wanting to Hire You sections. Once you decide on an area to work in you can use the Search feature displayed on top to search threads and posts to gain more knowledge pertaining to them. If you have some money(usually under $10) you can buy a popular WSO that you may like, read it thoroughly and take action by doing work.

Remember, there is no easy way of making money. Every area of making money online requires commitment and hard work. Wish you all the best!

There are so many sources here on the WF to help you make money online. I would have a look through the forum and find something that interests you.
Buy a WSO if you can afford to and put together a business plan.

    Then most importantly TAKE ACTION!
Ask questions and you will get help from Warriors here.

Best of luck to you keep us posted on how you get on

Making money online is very difficult!

Here is an excellent answer that spells out all the different aspects of making money online. Please take the time to give it a read:

Making money online is the question that everyone is asking themselves in some form or another. Everyday.

People do make money online. Some start with Affiliate Marketing, some people sell their own products/services, other try to get into the CPA, or arbitrage market. Do all such people make money? honestly, in my opinion no. Many will spend a lot of money, in the quest to make a sustainable online business. Some give up, others keep up at it. Easier said then done is the lesson learned.

Perseverance does eventually pay off. Some people who opted for affiliate marketing, end up setting up a store to sell their own products. Some end up as service providers, providing content (writing) services or SEO, or ebooks authoring, etc. Many people I have talked to make an income alright, but is it serious income (as you put it)? For most - it is anything but serious.

Very few people actually succeed in making mega bucks online. Those who do, are very quiet about it and keep on working at it. Economies of scale are in their favor. They have deep pockets of money to spend, to acquire/hire the resources they need to keep adding to the overall bottomline. You and I usually do not have such a luxury.

I wrote an answer on Quora Affiliate Marketing: Can you really make significant money using affiliate marketing?, that does not go well with many so called pundits who are trying to befool people in believing that Affiliate Marketing is where the money is. You can read it and draw your own judgement.

Coming to your reference, so in the PPC/Arbitrage/CPA game you have to be quite smart to make money. Google and others, keep changing the rules, so that the spread is minimal. CPA is a highly competitive market these-a-days as the barrier to entry are low.

The highest success rate I have seen for people who do make money are those that have honed their skills into a service (article writing, SEO services, Backlinking services, content writing, PLR based ebooks, etc.) or those that have settled down on a few products and sell them online (be it their own products or ones they have drop shipped).

If you want to do CPA, be cognizant of the fact that literally 1000s of people will try to sell you a tool/foolproof solution on how to make $1000s / day with their software / system for $27 only. Doh!

The notion that it takes money to make money is true, but as I cited the barrier to entry in this market is so low, so anyone with a few $100s or even a few $1000s thinks he/she can crack the system and have a go at it. The fact of the matter is, you may be a very astute business person in real-life, but the sheer number of business oriented people from all over the world, makes it an extremely competitive playing field.

In the online world, it is all about traffic. You get traffic, you get sales. You can have the best product / service, etc. - - - but if you don't have traffic (read: targeted visitors), you will most likely not see any earnings at all.

Sometimes spending $100 in PPC to make an affiliate sale of $120 make sense and seems like a no brainer, but the fact of the matter is, the system doesn't quite behave the way we think it ought to behave. Demand drives up the PPC rates and your income model is all blown to hell.

There is a book recommended by David S. Rose recommended called "Get Rich Click" (a great book to read). One sentence in that book got my attention and I thought I should pass it along:

"Be wary of the so-called experts"

Loosely translated - don't be conned.

Research, and I mean lots of research and understanding is the key to making money online. Experiment with what you can lose. It will surely take quite a few iterations to get it right (a point where many simply give up). However, if you have a nose for finding / sensing opportunity and act fast, money can indeed be made. Decent money.

Very few would actually be blessed to make serious money (IMHO)

As others have mentioned, begin by educating yourself.

For the time being, you could start off small with a website like Fiverr. That's one of the best places for newbies to earn a little bit of income at little cost.

My suggestion would be to start exploring the WF and see what sparks your interest. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THE WSO section because you're going to end up buying a lot of crap and hope that you make $5,000 in your first month. This will not happen, I can guarantee you that!

Just learn and be patient in the process. Learn, but don't forget to implement. That's how you'll learn best. Eventually, you'll find the right process to make money online

    Best of luck guy!!!
