Need someone to do my 'social marketing' - recommendations?

I am probably a bit of a dinosaur inasmuch as I just have NO time for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc -

Just need someone who can assist me to market a small local business on social sites.

This would be an ongoing gig, but need someone who knows how to make this stuff work for a LOCAL business.

Any recommendations much appreciated.

Im out of ideas and draw a blank every time I log in.

      Ive sorta pumped major $$$ into advertising the last 12 months and I am just wary about people selling snake-oil. I just need someone reputable who knows how to make this sorta stuff work, and can deliver at a reasonable price. Dont want to get stung again by unknowns who say they can do something but are really just out to make a quick buck.

      Case in point I just shelled out $200 to a 'warrior' who promised first page Google and all of the keywords he is working on (that were page one) are now nowhere to be seen in SERP - another case of caveat emptor by an 'online marketing professional'

      The $200 was no big deal. The drop in business from whatever he did to stuff up my serp is costing me thousands. 'Caveat Emptor'.

      Hence this thread. Im not doing any more 'random' hires from here on in.

      I figure all of us who have been around awhile can understand the situation.

      Just want decent, honest, referrals from other members of the community regarding services they know and trust.

      Im a sole proprietor so just cant afford any more gambling on service providers.

      Appreciate the suggestions so far.

    Do you need help doing your social media strategy or just help pointing you in right direction - if just pointers then there's plenty of blogs out there, avoid paying for anything in the form of information cause it's more likely available in the public domain online

      Related to Social Marketing, here is my problem:
      I want to get started with Facebook to make some money but I already have a personal FB account totally addressed to a lot of friends and family (photos, stories and the like).
      I don't want to use that account to make money so I would highly apreciate if some experienced warrior helps me out with following issues:
      1) Can I create a new FB account with a dummy name to promote products there?
      2) If so, can you recommend a good app or training course (no fluff, not hyped) proved to deliver real results?
      I read that FB loves marketers that place ads that doesn't send the visitors out of FB platfom, so the application should fulfill this requirement.

          I overlooked the thread's heading and only focused on "social marketing" which is a matter concerning my Facebook request. My mistake.

    Your first step would be to yes create a facebook page and start getting fans. you don't need someone to do this for you its very easy.
