Hey guys,
Looking for websites to freelance write. It has slowed down big time where I'm currently writing, and I need a list of some other sites that I can sign up at.

Thanks in advance.

Try TextBroker-- average article pays anywhere from $5 to $7, but it's fairly easy to get in.

Try Demand Studios. Average titles pay $20 to $25, but it can be tough to get accepted. They might ask you to submit a sample article. Give them one preferably in the How-to format and use active voice, as they seem to have orgasms with it. No fluff either; just the facts.

    Here are even more sites:

I'm currently working primarily at Textbroker (That is my favorite). However, the work has slowed down to the point where I'm having great difficulty meeting my daily quota. I've tried to get into Demand Studios a few times in the past, but I never made the cut.

Thanks for that link though. I've never heard of any of those websites listed. I will definitely check all of them out.

Feel free to check out my sig WSO for a big list too.

You can also run your own classified ads in Gumtree and Craigslist.

I have been writing on Vworker for a while now. Unfortunately, writing project are quite rare there, so it might not be the best place to diversify. However, the level of competition on Vworker is not as fierce as other freelancing marketplaces, from what I have seen.

I would recommend Iwriter, in this site you will be free to choose which article you would want to write. Though it would take a while before you get t o high paying level, it is still worth the try. Odesk is also another site where you can also get hired for a lot of writing jobs, just stay away from low ballers which BTW is rampant in oDesk.

Constant Content is good, but it doesn't necessarily result in steady work. The best way to get really good money through Constant Content is to get into their writers pool, but you have to be invited by the staff. The site itself is excellent for sharpening your writing skills, though.

I have had success with eCopywriters in the past, but work has been extremely slow coming from them lately. eLance is good, but you are competing with people that work for next to nothing so that can be frustrating. You are probably in as good a place as any by being right here.

One I haven't seen mentioned but have had success with is Interact Media. They're pretty similar to Textbroker, but they have a broader range of pay scales. Level 4 tops out at 1.4 cents at Textbroker. At the equivalent level on Interact Media, I've seen 3.2/3.5 cent articles and even higher.

It would be well worth it to develop your writing skills to get paid more money per project. Why get paid a couple of dollars when you start at $20.00 plus per document.

Use sites like iWriter.com and others to develop your skills and then over time submit some well-written articles to EzineArticles to showcase your writing expertise, and then branch out on your own with your own personal website and build yourself a list of clients. These will be your own personal clients that have been proven to buy, just send them some great offers during the year and get some sales.

If you have great writing skills and time, set up a membership site for content that you can lock them in for a membership on a monthly basis for say 10 to 15 articles on a particular niche for 3, 4 or 6 months on a continuity model.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. KINDLE. If you are writing articles anyway, you might as well do something for yourself and get in on that Kindle money. It takes about twenty 500-word articles to create a 10,000 word E-book that you can set up on Amazon that will be working on your behalf 24/7 that you can sell in the $2.99 to $9.99 range. Write on a compelling subject people want to read and you are going to do well. Create yourself a library of books on Kindle and you might not have to worry about slow downs in clients.

Diversify and space out your money earning projects. After all this Google stuff, with pandas and other animals, putting your eggs in one basket is not a good idea. Spread out the way you make your money into different earning vehicles. Kindle, blogs, membership sites, etc. and build a list. Getting on the front of Google is never a guarantee, but if you have a list to market to, you can always earn some cash.

Writing articles are a great way to make money, but there is going to come a time when you don't feel like sitting at your computer and doing the work and when that happens, you must have other vehicles working for you to create income or you are going to have some serious cash flow issues.

I wrote a book on freelance writing jobs and there are TONS of places to write.
First decide if you want flat rate or residual income. There are benefits and drawbacks to both.
If you can afford waiting to get paid, I would recommend a combination. Residual income sites can pay you for years.

You can also sign up to sites like Freelancer and Odesk and bid on jobs.
Set up a portfolio. If you can't afford a self hosted website, there are a number of sites you can set up a portfolio for free.
Look for clients on sites like Craigslist and the Problogger job board.
Be sure to always charge private clients at least half up front.

    iWriter is a good bet.

Fiverr is underrated for this; you can set up all sorts of gigs based on how many words you want to write, how quickly you can deliver it, etc. And the big plus is that you can sell yourself, so you might have a postgraduate qualification, or expertise in in a topic or niche for example. You can use Fiverr a little like a mini search engine and use targeted keywords to get more eyes on your offer too.

Hawk, looks like you created a great start to your article thread in Warriors for Hire, got a couple of testimonials, and then let it die!

You can start your own little article factory from scratch using just that thread if you did it with a little more focus.

I've actually just set up a mate doing just that, who is now starting to build up some private clients for $10 per article, and as demand gets greater we're bumping up his price.

Apologies, but you've gotta run this thing like a business, with a clear plan for the future, and not just website hop looking for work. That's a guaranteed recipe for failure IMO.

You don't want to rely on websites where you are competing for every little bit of work that you do, you want to build up a list of private clients that give you regular work, and slowly scale from there.

Plant your flag on hill, make it your own, and run a real live business!
