Hey warriors,
I am right now at the middle of creating my affilate funnel in a new niche I am entering to. It's a sub-niche in the diet and weight loss niche.

I plan to have a squeeze page and small-price upsell afterwards. But I still want to give some sort of action to those who subscribe through my squeeze page but don't pruchase the upsell.

So I thought about placing a viral product's page right before the download page. by "viral product" I mean a free product which the subscriber could get if he share or tweet my message to his friends/followers. This way I would get extra traffic for free and give more value to those subscribers.

But now I am getting concerend that it would have a bad effect due to the nature of this niche. I mean, who would want his friends to know about a weight loss product he is using, or tell his friends about a free ebook which can help them lose few pounds during the summer?
It sound a bit insulting, to me atleast.

But what do you think? Is it sound like a good plan for you to have a viral page for this kind of audiance? Is it just me who thinks it probably won't work? And if you think about it, what niches you believe are suited better to this kind of social sharing?

It could be a good idea for your business and
    your subscribers..

You could always run a test,
and see what your market thinks..

Thanks quantumtiger, that's a good tip.
But I really want to hear the opinion of affiliate marketers who dealt with this niche before, and can suggest some conclusions.

The answer to the question, 'viral - yes or no' should always be 'yes'. However, this particular tactic seems flawed to me as you are more than likely to confuse people.

I don't think the niche you are in would be a problem, however how you set it up will be key, you will have to make it super simple or viral will not happen! but yes to viral everytime!

If you're using a squeeze page, then you're using an autoresponder. In this case your subs will get a confirmation email regardless of the action they take immediately after signing up with you.

It all comes down to testing different scenarios, but whether they buy on the spot or not, you will have the chance of presenting them with your viral page inside the welcoming email.

I don't think I would send a friend info on a diet program. It would be like saying "Hey... you need to be on a diet."

MichaelNech, I thought about using single opt-in, so it actually possible.

The question here guys is if such an offer can really become viral, and not just be ingnored or even sound offensive.
