Isn´t niche related forum a great idea for relevant backlinks?

What matters most to keep google reward your site/page is to get backlinks related to your niche from relevant and high pr sites right?

So isn´t it a perfect idea to get relevant links from those sites by posting on their forums and adding a link in the signature.

Maybe people already do this but I havent seen it mentioned as a important factor in building relevant backlinks.

    I use related forums to advertise my products and i think of it as an earner rather than as a backlink builder but you have defiently given me food for thought!

    I think it's important, too, to be sure you create the link on keywords, rather than just your site name. You want your site to rank high for what people are searching for.
