Looking For the "Perfect" <insert anything name here>?

It's a disease, actually.

People without a product, without a list, barely making any money online.

Yet they want the "Perfect" product!

And they'll spend their entire life looking for the "Perfect" product, the "Perfect" opportunity. Yeah, even the "Perfect" woman/man.

You can smell these folks from a mile away.

If you want to get something done, just do it with what what you have.

=> Forget Infusionsoft or 1Shoppingcart. Go with a Paypal cart.
=> Forget a "dedicated" server. Get a virtual hosting account for $5.
=> Forget a merchant account. Get going with ClickBank.

"Preparing" never makes you money. "Spending" doesn't make you money. "Brainstorming" won't make you money. "Strategizing" and "Getting all your ducks in a row" won't make you money.

Only "Selling" will make you money.

1) Create ONE product.

2) Then start selling it. Like NOW.

3) End of story.

And the sad part is, even if you spell it out, some people will never get it.

Oh well, you can't say I didn't try :-)

    Awesome post!

I wish we could somehow just transfer that understanding by osmosis or something - you'd think it wouldn't be that hard, it's a simple concept!

Now if only you would magically provide me with the perfect magical product to make all of my subscribers magically understand there is no magic

    Mac,

Exactly! "Ready-Fire-Aim" should be the mantra of anyone getting started online.

I see too many people waiting for the sun, the moon, and the stars to fall in line before they can even start putting pen to paper (or finger to keyboard :-)

Sometimes I want to just "shake 'em awake" and put some sense into them, but I guess I just don't have that much time :-)

I worked with so many people over the years in a regular "job", and for all those years, in spite of all my known accomplishments online, there was never a single soul who came up to me and asked me for help in getting started online.

    * 90% just wanted to do their job and go home, watch TV and sleep.
    * 9% actually wanted to do something, but again, didn't have any time left at the end of the day after watching the news and American Idol and ending with Jay Leno.
    * 0.99% wanted to do something, and were even willing to take action. But they just couldn't get over analysis-paralysis. They had strong opinions about everything even before they made a single penny online.

"Oh, I don't like Paypal. I've heard they lock users' accounts if you get a sudden inflow of transactions"

"Oh, I don't want to use Aweber. I've heard they lock you out of your lists if they get too big"

"Oh, I don't want to use Godaddy. They hijack domain names during a major launch".

"Oh, I don't want to accept credit cards. They penalize the merchant $30 for chargebacks".

    And here's my pet peeve...

"Oh, I don't want to use ClickBank because they charge too much commission".
And the guy doesn't even have a product, and has never sold a penny-worth of stuff online. Yet, he is worried about "wasting" money in commissions :-)

See how in each case, they're planning for something that may never happen to them: have a 100,000 strong list, get 2000 customers in an hour, 1 million visitors from super affiliates during a mega launch.

These folks will never ever get that big, ever.

But they shoot down every opportunity because they heard someone say something negative about them.

I don't want to judge them saying they're "losers", but I can't seem to find an alternate word here .... ;-)

    Oh well...
