Hi Warriors,
I want to start making money with Squidoo, but first I want to get it from Warriors whether getting the $100 Mark per month is a Pipe dream or something that is achievable within 3 months?

If you must use Squidoo, sell affiliate products. Trying to make $100 per month with the ad pool will be almost impossible for a beginner.

I suggest you put your time, effort and money into building your own site. It's really easy to do now days.

I do. It took some work but through affiliate and adsense I make that much. Feel free to pm me for more info.

There are also a few people who make over one thousand dollars.

I think it's perhaps a slight exaggeration, but I agree with the spirit of this response.

Strictly speaking, there are doubtless many people making a little bit of money with Squidoo, almost all of whom would be making more without it than with it. So if you factor in "opportunity cost" they probably haven't done too well, really. :p

This thread - and especially some of the others linked to inside it - may be of assistance to you, Drjoenjenga: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...t-squidoo.html

It's definitely possible to get Squidoo income to $100 per month within 3 months, but probably easier, safer, more secure and more sensible to do it without using Squidoo at all.

Hubpages is a better option in my opinion.

Your best option would be to take all that content you are giving Squidoo to grow their business, and start your own blog and post it there instead.

    Now your growing your business

    Something to think about!

I got to agree, your own blog first, make sure everything gets indexed on your own site first get credit for the unique content then use hugpages, squdioo etc as part of your link wheel win win. if they click and use squdioo you get paid, if they click to your site you egt paid. Word of advice do not back link squdioo to the same article on your site.

you have two articles a and b. both on your site and squdioo.

article a on squdioo should link into article b on your site.

nothing more stupid than having link bait in one article that links to the same article on another site.

You can't do this with sites like Squidoo and Hubpages because they require that content be unique to their sites.

That being said, making $100 on Squidoo is very possible without even worrying about tier payments. I do really well promoting digital products from ClickBank and JVZoo as well as promoting Amazon products. I enjoy writing for Squidoo because I can do a lens about something I enjoy but don't want to build an entire site about. The community is also great! There are Squidoo forums and Facebook groups you can join that are very supportive.

I think you're perfectly fine considering Squidoo to start off your efforts. It's the platform that was the launching for point for me online and is the method i still use today.

This is exactly right. You need to leverage external affiliate networks not built into Squidoo by default. Trying to survive off AdPool earnings an low payout Amazon product sales won't get you there quickly.

I suggest you buy Logans wso if you are going to go with Squidoo. I bought it about 2 weeks ago. You most definatly can make money on Squidoo with affiliate offers, but there are many different ways of linking to them and Logan teaches you the best way IMO.

Contrary to popular belief, yes, it is possible. Easily. This doesn't mean that Squidoo doesn't involve work, but $100 is more than achievable early on.

I think Squidoo is a good launching point. I personally make well over $100 a month through Squidoo lenses. Would you want to stick with Squidoo your whole life? no. That would be silly. You should diversify. But lenses play an important role in my ability to reach people. I usually build a huge presence online when I see something that works.

This means a main site, then video presence, article presence, lens presence, all of it. Anything you can think of, I use it. I make the atmosphere of my money-makers grow wider and wider.

But again, it's all how you go about it. I didn't used to make a dime with my lenses, and then I realized that using the ad pools, and amazon modules wasn't really the most fruitful way for me.

I promote ClickBank products through my lenses personally.

I had several Squidoo lenses supporting a master site of my own. Panda and Penquin destroyed my site but wonder of wonders one of the Squidoos now gets 800 views per week and I make about $75/week from that particular lens.

I wish people stopped slagging off Squidoo! Ok, fair enough, you don't own the site and it can disappear instantly but the format is nice! It's easy to use and there is a variety of things you can promote there...or not promote! Up to you! I think the Squidoo community is nice, friendly and certainly not as stuck up as at Eza!

It really depends on what people want to do and having multiple income sources is a choice that plenty of successful internet marketers do! It's not just about ONE BLOG that you try to rank as high as possible and even though content is king....you don't control GOOGLE either, so, you just don't know!

If you have the right course and WORK HARD for a month building let's say 100 Squidoo lenses with good content, Amazon links, CB and others, don't tell me you can't make a DIME!

Tiffany Dow and Erica Stone are good examples!

Phhhewww...yes, Squidoo works just like any other platform but in a different way and no you don't own the pages fully but so what, life and business is all about taking risks too!

Squidoo moaners, please consider the above!

    Thanks

    Yoan

Personally I don't use Squidoo, the whole lens-making thing just seems to convoluted for me. However I don't doubt that it is possible to make over $100 a month if you are willing to work at it. I follow several bloggers who make a lot of money from their Squidoo lenses. If you create enough search engine optimized content and backlink it then you should be able to clear $100 a month on almost any site.

when I first started, I used squidoo, I made $3,000 my first month then used every single cent of that money to get real hosting, autorespnder, some other servifces and used it on paid traffic.

I was using squidoo as a website pretty much linking out to affiliate offers, then promoting the living hell out if it with outside marketing, I didn't really get much traffic from inside of squidoo, but I promoted it just like I would a website.

Squidoo is a powerful tool if it's used in the good direction:

    a) as a part of the 1st tier in backlinking
    b) With powerful products from well-known affiliate programs
    c) well-written and with contextual links

  • I agree that Hubpages is better.

    And it's a fun community.

However, what's the fun on making just 100 bucks a month?

It's a lot of work for just 100 dollars. I agree with Alexa Smith - the opportunity cost is huge if your efforts on making money on those sites is all you're looking to do.

$100 a month on squidoo is totally possible. I made just under a hundred in my first month using Erica Stone's "Squid Pro Quo" system back in October last year, I built like 13 lenses. Keep in mind though, most people need to make more lenses to earn what I did, so you'll have to bust your butt and stick with it. Also, you'll have to wait 2 months to get paid from Amazon.

I've made $500 in December on Squidoo. 97% of the money was earned with two big lenses. January was a weak month with about $250, but I hope February will be better

So yes, you can make $100 per month on Squidoo. If I weren't so lazy, and I built more lenses, I could make a thousand bucks easily. As soon as I quit my job, I'll start scaling up

As someone else said, the beauty of Squidoo is being able to promote just a few products that you have no interest in building a complete site around. It is also a good testing site to try out a new niche before trying to start a new site in a new niche.

But you should eventually start your own site(s) where you have more control. But as many of us found out, when the Big G changes their algorithms, we can lose 80% of our traffic over night, even if we were trying to play by the rules and be white hat.
