PROBLEM With A Warrior - What Would You Do??

Hi All,

Basically, I ordered some articles from someone on the WF and he hasn't delivered. He appears to be a respectable warrior judging by the thanks and responses to his article writing thread.

I have emailed him at his gmail account and 3 times on the here but no response. I have remained polite and diplomatic in all my correspondence.

The articles were due last sunday and I paid upfront.

He has been very active on the forum in the last 24 hours.

What should I do?

      I appreciate NAONLINE for not showing the name of the person which he trusted and payed upfront. It is very disgusting to hear about that but NAONLINE still calm. Two thumbs up for NAONLINE for doing that. If ever I had a problem with one of the WARRIOR MEMBER I would just forgive and forget what happen. Because if you try to hurt him in words or in phone you might be accused but the most important thing should do is let us just learn how to forgive and forget about what happen. There will be times that you can find the right person who will serve and give the quality that you like.


      Over all I like NAONLINE for being kind and stay calm on what happen to him.

    Hey Nick,

    Sorry that this has happened to you.

    I've had similar experiences and it sure is
    irritating.

    Be aware though that the #1 rule of the WF
    is that other warriors don't get slammed in
    public...so if you "out" this person, the post
    will likely be permanently removed and you could
    lose forum access.

    How did you pay for the articles? I've always solved
    issues like this by launching a paypal dispute...even if
    the paypal dispute doesn't come to anything, it usually
    does the job of getting the person in question to get
    in touch with me soon enough...

      Hi Nick

      If you ordered from a WSO or the Warrior for Hire section, then leave a review of the service you've received to date on the thread.

      Just say you're still waiting and hoping that this writer delivers, it might just be the jolt that the writer needs to deliver.

        I would try to be patient, try posting your problem to this guys WSO, I have never had a bad experience with Warriors, most likely it some kind of mistake.

    I would post on the warrior replying to the persons thread that you purchased it through and say youve been trying to contact him and have been waited x amount of time for it and needed it asap. If you dont get a decent response back then do a review on it.

    That way your giving him the option to sort it out!

    Personally, I would do this through PayPal. If he's about to lose money, that just might get his attention. Also, kudo's to you for not exposing him.

    Thanks for your replies guys. I really believe this is a genuine oversight on his part so I have no intention of naming and shaming.

    Even posting on his thread now would do this.

    I think the paypal dispute might be the best route.

    PayPal dispute is a way to do. That's what I would do. In fact I had a similar situation recently where I paid for PRL articles that turned out to have come from ezinearticles originally and have been on ezinearticles for a year or so. I have contacted the seller saying I still want articles but I do not want recylced articles that have come from article directories, if he could send me legitimate PRL articles instead and never heard back. I am going to give the person a few days and if I still don't hear from them I will file a dispute.

    I would suggest 1) paypal dispute, 2) credit card chargeback.

    I paid $599 to a Warrior who was recommended by another Warrior in a WSO on January 6. We spoke soon after that and he agreed to a refund since his product didn't meet my requirements - and had not been delivered.
    So far so good.
    Since then I can't get ANY response. I have sent numerous emails (double figures) and left loads of voicemails but nothing.
    Nada.
    $599 is a big hit.
    The product has cost him nothing, no download, no work, but he refuses to answer.
    His name is well known here.

      Fortunately it's only $40 but it's not the money i'm concerned about, it's the disruption to my marketing plans.

      Okay, maybe I'm just a low grade moron, but it you ordered a service from
      this section of the forum...

      Warriors For Hire - Programmers, Website Designers, Graphic Artists

      Why not just go to the thread where you ordered it from and say, "Hey,
      where are my articles?"

      If you get no response, since this is directly related to the forum, as is a
      WSO or anything posted here, then simply report the thread to the help desk
      and if Allen gets no response from the person he will then take whatever
      action he feels is appropriate.

      This isn't rocket science.

      I'm sorry if this sounds like a rant, but why can't people think for themselves?

      Sometimes this place reminds me of when I was a kid and the kids around
      town would go crying to their mommy to ask them what to do about the
      bully around the corner.

      Today, as an adult, you'd simply call the damn cops. What's there to think
      about?

        Absolutely no reason for the OP not to go back to the thread and report he hasn't responded etc.

        In fact its his duty to do so, so that more people don't shell out money. (And of course it can be done courteously, well to start with anyway)

          It's a bit late to say "shouldn't have" paid - I agree. However, you've posted several times here yet posted politely in his thread.

          You did post twice in the thread but one just said "pm'd you" and was before the articles were due. The second post was very polite - perhaps too polite.

          I'd post there loud and clear that you paid for article and didn't receive them - that your attempts to contact him have gone unanswered - and that you have filed a paypal dispute about it.

          I see that offer has now been listed as "no new clients" - but there's no excuse for placing an ad and not filling all the orders. His posts seem to indicate all orders were filled.

    Lesson learnt then. Whether it's $40 or $4,000, never pay upfront. Pay a deposit, pay along the way, whatever - just never pay upfront.

    Hope you get this resolved. There may be a genuine reason.

          My 2 cents for what it's worth is give the warrior the benefit of the doubt and evaluate only after your product is delivered and don't speculate, get the "facts" as they are presented and go from there.

          Hope that's helpful; it's just that time and again when I start running scenarios in my mind, it's often not helpful, and then the facts come out and nothing matched my scenarios.

            You're right David, but I was promised the articles 6 days ago and I've had no correspondence from the writer and I've seen him on here several times.

    If he has been active here on the WF after your articles were already due, he could be using that time to write the articles or give you a refund.

    Sometimes things happen like loss of internet, computer problems, hospitalization, but if he's been posting you know that's not the case.

    PM him here on the WF.

    If no response, go to his threads and ask him where are my articles? They're late.

    Also, there is a name and shame wall started by Mmurtha. I can't remember the url, ask Mary Murtha for the URL.

    The #1 rule does NOT apply there.

    This is so sad. Whoever the person is should please respond ASAP, don't let us spoil this wonderful family or take it to a point where we begin to suspect each other. It will do us no good at all.

    Let the product be deliver or the money refunded. I know the person is probably reading this also.

    I commend Naonline for handling the case in such a mature way. Refer him to this thread in case he is not already reading, so he could see what people are saying about him.

      Don't let your guard down just yet. I've had two instances in which I purchased writing services where the writer didn't come through either at all or at the expected level of service.

      In both instances I was offered a full refund. Only they never came. Numerous excuses were give, but both situations ended up with me filing Paypal disputes. Both were won, by the way.

      If I recall correctly, you opened a Paypal dispute. Keep it open! Don't close it just because he said he'd refund you.

    He already has exposed him and completely disregarded rule #1 of this forum.

    I don't know either party however, my impression of the accused & publicly convicted person (whom I found through my own due diligence via breadcrumb trail left in this thread) is to stay far away from them in a business sense as well, avoid any and all forum posts from them.... and to be honest, I'll stay far away from the whistle blower too as well as those in their extended network for reasons that are blatantly obvious in the way they handle their personal problems.

    That's unfair to me 'cause my impression of the accused person now has been tainted via uncontested social proof statements and also unfair to the person who was tarred and feathered without having the chance to offer up their side of the dispute which, should have remained outside of the forum - see rule #1 again.

    Perception is reality and "optics" count for everything especially when your brand is YOU when selling IM solutions to marketers so, the damage this thread can cause to the accused/convicted may very well be far reaching even though the intent may not have been to destroy their reputation and business in a hasty post on the #1 IM forum.

    Something to think about for those with a conscience and/or believe in Karma.

        Thanks Steven, I would like to think I tried to get to the bottom of it and didn't throw any sticks.

        It may only be a handful of articles but this could have cost me 100's of subscribers of 1000's of dollars/pounds.

        In business deadlines are critical and time is money.

        I began this thread by asking for advice when I thought I had exhausted all other avenues. What followed was out of my control and was it was never my intention to tarnish the reputation of the writer.

        I firmly believe he is reputable and honest.

    Hi NAONLINE,

    I had the same exact thing happen to me with a couple of short reports for $79 each.

    Heard from them a few times..they'll be ready tomorrow evening, they'll be ready by next Tuesday, My computer crashed... and then no more repsonse.

    Please let us know how you come out when this is all settled.

    If it was the Ultimate Warrior I would run.

    But in your case I would force the issue. If he's posting on here and avoiding you you have to do something. I've been in business for many years (not IM) and I've learned you have to confront people but give them the benefit of the doubt.

    I am definately faairly new to the im niche although im coming up on a year...In that 1 year time (my other businesses offline) ..I have been stiffed 3 times 1st $18325.00 2nd $5,000.3rd $1500. just 3 weeks ago..And let me tell you something ,It always happens at precisely the wrong time .And it always takes a piece of you with the money..I have seen and heard every single trick in the book and believe me over the years i have learned to spot these people in just a couple words or acouple of meetings ..I will always stay very far away from this type of person and will always spot them a mile away....There is no need for this type of disregard in the world .If only every one would just answer the email or phone call on a timely manner especially if there was absolutely no foul play intended...My future in the electrical business will hopefully be short lived ..My new found future hopefully will be solely based on Internet Marketing...
