Surefire Formula for Your First $1,000 Month

Warriors,

I've been teaching marketing for the past 6 years and I see a LOT of
people who jump from one thing to the next. They don't spend their
days focused on the HIGH-LEVERAGE activities in their business.
They spread themselves way too thin in multiple markets and
end up not really getting anywhere.

In fact, I see a lot of people who've been "working" at this for
years with very little to show for it.

And I think there are a few reasons for that:

Information Overload
Jumping from one product to the next
One strategy to the next
Technical Hurdles
etc...

So I want to give you a simple formula for creating your first $1,000
month.

Step 1: Setup your squeeze page.

Step 2: Focus on ONE traffic strategy and drive ALL of your traffic
to your squeeze page.

Step 3: Promote ONE affiliate program. You can put this on your thank-you
page and include it in your first couple follow-up emails. (combined with
massive value and a bit of entertainment

But that's it!

Three steps.

Traffic + Offer + Conversion

A lot of people like to make it harder than it really is.

But the REAL key is to get laser-focused on the critical few.

Feel free to ask any questions you have below.

    Awesome post Kim,

    I totally get this ^

I too have been teaching and doing this for years however most people end up looking for an "easier" method.

The truth is that although the process is easy and not rocket science, the staying power you need IS difficult.

Your results will govern whether you continue and most people don't get it 100%, move to another niche, get average results, move on....

However if you keep building, keep on going and don't give up it is THAT simple!

This sounds sooooo simple yet so many get caught in this loop. Great post. I hope that the newbies who see this follow your advice. They will make money quicker.

I would add, focus on building the first 1,500 subscribers and build a relationship with them, then you are going to make an income.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6723661].message }}
  • Perhaps giving people a few traffic methods to focus on would be great to. Free would be best If you want a list, you can get them via PPC. If you do it right you should lose money the first month or 2 but as the e-mails kick in you should have made your money back or more by month 2.

I would do more than 1 marketing strategy. I used to only submit articles to EZA for a whole year... then when panda hit, all my efforts went into the crapper. Kim's plan is sound, but just add about 2-3 more strategies just so that if one fail, you still have another to fall back on.

      Thanks Kim,

You break things down to the bare essentials..

I agree with the "information overload"

      All the best..

Not at the beginning, adding that second or third strategy will take away focus and spread it too thin. Remember the Op is aiming at the marketer stuck with information overload. Now after one strategy becomes successful than sure ad more.

    • Yep, I used to make a living off of Craigslist 3 - 4 years ago then a couple years ago SMACK! No more easy CL ads.

Keep doing whatever is working to drive traffic but always keep experimenting to find new ways that you can ad to the main one you use.

Yes, going with more than 1 strategy is more better in case we are not getting enough conversion from 1 area.

We also know using 1 or more doesnt matters when we are concentrating all of them to 1 common page / area which will in turn give us traffic conversion to revenue...

I agree. I see way too many suffer from that and just jump from this to that. You have to basically pick one niche and one traffic method. Follow through before doing anything else. Marketing isn't rocket science. It's more just follow through. Make a to do list of easy steps and ignore everything until it's done. You will get results.

A couple of people have asked about which traffic strategy to get started with.

I would personally recommend you focus on one of the following:

    Solo Ads
    Guest Blogging
    Forum Marketing

These are super simple to get started with and VERY effective when done properly.

Some other great email marketers include Gary Halbert and Ben Settle.

You'll definitely want to check out the Gary Halbert letters. And Ben has an archive of his emails at BenSettle.com. Great place to study email marketing - infused with entertainment

You can DEFINITELY send Facebook straight to a squeeze page In fact, the best way to use FB advertising is to send to a squeeze page ON Facebook. Facebook rewards you for keeping visitors on the same platform.

You can use Static HTML: iframe tabs to create your squeeze pages on Facebook.

Yes it's simple but being simple doesn't mean it's easy.

Step 2 is VERY difficult, and that's where the money is.. if you don't learn how to get traffic you're dead. For years I'm trying to get traffic from other sources and not relying on Google only but no luck. I think about 85% of my traffic is still coming from Google. Since my business is around content sites, PPC traffic is not good for me.

But when I played with affiliate marketing a while ago, I tried plentyoffish to drive traffic to my affiliate page and it ended up being even.

Good advice, but I actually believe that List building is stage 2 in the process of learning marketing

Step 1 is learning how to build traffic. This has to be the foundation for any internet venture.

Simplicity, I love it. I have never used this method for making money online, but it is on my to do list. Adsense and amazon treat me well for now.

Kim - I just saw your blog for the first time as a result of your sig in this thread. I read this line from it
95% of people treat Google like the traffic fairy.
In fact, most people chase after Google like
    they're 17 and never had a girlfriend.
...and it made me LOL. Funny line, and totally true! Although she is a great girlfriend to catch, if you can

Right you are Kim. But even getting a squeeze page and offer together can be daunting for some.
That's where this new service can help!
It creates squeeze pages complete with an enticing offer to join your list, it creates a one-time offer for opt-ins and even has its own autoresponder with few starter email messages with your own affiliate offers embedded. Incredibly, you can set this all up in about 30 seconds! Seriously.
Once set up, you can move onto stage 2 and focus entirely on getting traffic to your page.
The service is called Listlaser. See the link for it in my sig.
