Start Making Some Real Money!! Essential Tips I Use To Make A Full Time Living Online

So 1 Year and 1,000 Posts Later.... Heh I can't believe the twenty year old dreamer who thought he could make a living teaching guys how to pick up girls online became the man I am today.

I'm only twenty one but I make a healthy living online and I'm proud to say I make more than both of my parents combined.

Do I have any college experience? Naaaah but I did graduate high school

Did I work hard? Yeah I live and sleep IM. There's not a moment in the day when I'm not thinking of my next big idea.

Have I made friends along the way? Sadly not as many as I hoped but I've met and come in contact with people who I'll never forget them and this forum will always be a part of me.

I'm going to share everything I can with you guys to cut the learning curve for all of you out there who are still learning or trying to make your first dollar.

Hell even if you're already successful maybe I can teach you a thing or two.

Tip #1
Stay away from adsense.

Alright adsense is cool and all and I personally do know a few guys who make steady income off of it. But it's so much work and if you're not getting 4,000 visitors a day you're not going to be getting the kind of money you expected. A much better alternative is affiliate marketing.

Amazon converts amazing you feel comfortable buying from Amazon don't you? Well so do the billions of other people who inhabit this planet. They have a wide range of products and you may think the affiliate commission is low but I promise you it's not and the money adds up like you wouldn't believe. So for every starter out there I'm going to recommend you to Amazon it's just a great program. High conversions, high payouts and I've just never had a problem with them

If you're new to Amazon here are two articles I've written for the Warrior Forum to enjoy and hopefully get you set off on the write track

Tip #2
Enjoy Life

Alright so you're on the road to freedom and working from home! I'm not sure what situation you're in but for me it was stressful at first. I had car payments due my girlfriend thought I was a bum and it was all pretty crappy.

But if I've learned anything at all it's that if you're not enjoying life other people probably wont enjoy you. The happier you are the more friends you'll make and the more friends you make the further you'll go. In any form of business the people you know play a huge role in your success.

If you have a niche blog but you aren't happy with life believe it or not chances are it will come across in your writing and people probably won't enjoy your blog too much so stay happy.

Life is good, this is the one you have so don't waste any time being upset. Things are always going to get worse before they get better and you will make it through today.

Tip #3
Never Stop Reading

No matter how much you think you know someone is always going to know something you don't know and you never know enough to stop learning.

I challenge myself to read at least four books a month I enjoy reading psychology books and the occasional novel. The more you read the more you'll excel at writing. This is a strong skill for any Internet Marketer to have. The power to draw people in and keep their attention is quite possibly the most powerful tool you could ever have.

Depending on what you read you can learn how to handle people better, you can learn how to write a better sales letter hell it could even give you the million dollar idea you've been waiting for your entire life. Get rid of the TV all it's doing is killing your brain cells. Replace it with a book shelf and become a better you.

For all you internet marketers I suggest the book How To Win Friends and Influence people by Dale Carnegie he's the picture in my avatar and one of the greatest Authors to grace the self help field. The knowledge you'll get from that book is priceless and will lead you towards success.

Tip #4
Keep Records Of Everything You Do

Now there are 101 reasons to do this but I'm going to make this about the most important ones.

You need to pay taxes on all the money you're making if you live here in the US so.... Keeping all of this information on hand will make your life a lot easier. I have a friend who is a CPA so I pass on the information to them and they get me the best deal I can get.

You may stumble across a gem you can sell as a WSO... Wouldn't it suck if you tried a new ranking method and shot up from #73 to #1 overnight but you didn't document any of it.... You have no proof because you didn't document the rankings... You didn't write down what kind of links you used or how many. Yeah that would suck so just make sure you keep track of those sort of things. I personally take screenshots and videos of most of the things I do.

Do you plan on selling your website eventually? Your buyers will be a lot more confident if they know everything and you keep financial data SEO data and all of that.

Tip #5
Don't Expect Something That Somebody Else Is Doing To Just Automatically Work For You

Here in IM you'll learn that everyone adds their own little finesse we all do things in our own way so copying someone else to an exact replica may just not work for you. You may not understand it completely or something else and you'll just get frustrated. Using the ideas of other is great yes! Just try and develop your own system for it this will work best for you.

Tip #6
ALWAYS Include An Opt-In Somewhere On Your Website

Building a list is one of the most profitable ways to make some real money online IF NOT THE MOST. You've got nothing to lose by putting this on your websites and this allows you to contact potential customers directly with your's or other's products.

These people are already interested in what you have to say! Show them true value and be REAL with your list. They'll be able to tell if you're trying to milk them for all they've got or you're truly trying to help them.

Do not spam your list once a day if you're one of the people who do this then you're not going to make it in the business. If you treat your list correctly and show them you care about the needs they have and what they're trying to accomplish then you'll accomplish exactly what you're trying to do. You'll make some money and help others... Doesn't that feel nice?

Alright guys I've got to get back to work because I've got a lot to do but I do plan on updating this thread when I get the chance

      Credit where it's due.

An informative post, particularly the 'read' bit. I would add . . . read, read, and read again. And then some more. Reading is the best gift human beings possess. It enables us to study, decipher, analyse, and assess information as to it's viability and value. At the end of the day we have nothing without knowledge, and reading provides that knowledge.

The adsense part makes sense, you need quite a bit of visitors to make it work. I'm sure an extra step there is list building and building a relationship, it's a surefire way of making an online income.

Thanks for your tips. And congratz on your success, man. I tried Amazon affiliate before, but I didn't have much success with it. In particular, I couldn't get much traffic. And traffic is vital to any part of online business. So what's your ways of driving traffic to your Amazon offer?

Nice post... specially the adsense is very refreshing to hear. All too often there is so much hype built around something that most people don't even try but they keep talking about it because joe fro down the street is making a killing with it.

It all comes down to dollars and cents - and if you are new to internet marketing and one of your main focus is AdSense than expect cents.

Overall stay away from the hype the old Adsense-Twitter-Pinterest babble that goes around. It might work for some but a very few - not to discourage anyone if that's what you want to do but why waste your time with something that is not working from the get go?

Start with something that pays and can only grow. Don't be fooled by hype.

      Very nice list of tips.

The tip on reading is spot on, but the one I want to help you hammer home is the one about writing things down.

You read the 'rinse and repeat' mantra a zillion times a day around here, but unless you document your processes - and the reasoning behind them - the 'repeat' part can get to be a beyatch.

      It's like cooking...

You start with a recipe. You think to yourself, "what if I add a little bit of this" and it turns out great. But you don't jot down what you did.

Next time, you remember that you added something. You might even remember that you added a particular ingredient - maybe. "IIRC" (If I Recall Correctly) didn't get that kind of use for no reason.

I'd have to look it up, but there's a way to set up a plain text file so that every entry is dated. A private blog, one that only you access, is even better. Just post yourself a note when you do something and why.

I don't want to beat the horse into the ground, so I'll quit with a (IIRC ) Chinese proverb:

"The faintest ink is sharper than the best memory."

Congrats to the OP, but, you have to always remember.

Your path is not someone elses path.

People do well with adsense. and that is their thing. Obviously, yours is coaching.

  • Don't Expect Something That Somebody Else Is Doing To Just Automatically Work For You.
This is the best part for me.

We can never expect that the things done by others to get successful will always work on us. Changes happen, and we should deal with it. I think applying others' methods is not bad, but we should not expect that it will work for us the way it worked for others.
