Awesome looking graphics! Well done!
All 4 are great but I think the first one might work better due to the mass majority
of your text will have to be black - so it matches.
Red's another option you can consider but it's the colour of urgency - it might help
increase your click through rates.

Very nice Grant. I think the lens effect on the first one where the pointer meets the button is what is making this stand out. The brown one looks great too. Can we see the brown one with the lens effect to compare?

Other than that, they look a little bit "outdated"... or even a bit "70's"

I probably would avoid using the word "register" on a button. I mean, who on earth really wants to "register"? I register to vote... I register for a drivers license... I have to register my dog... I register my guns...

No one in their right mind enjoys registering. :p

The reason i like the first one, is because of the little thousands (

) of sparkles on the button, and since the button is black, the sparkles are very noticeable.

Hey Donald,

I did when they first came out..I think in early '90? The buttons are 100% Photoshop. For those interested all it is, is 5-6 layers, mostly ovals with gradient, bevel/emboss, and a 90 degree shadow. Really simple to do.

To answer your question no. Take a red button on a gormet choclate website. It just doesn't fit. Yea, it's stands out like a sore thumb, but if the majority and "feel" is a page with more neutral colors like brown/white, a red or yellow button on this page stops the flow, it doesn't help it.

Overall it comes down to a few important varibles-

1. The main color, layout, and "hook" of the sales page.
2. Your target market.
3. Your target market.

That's only my opinion, and I'm sure everyone here has their own. The final color choice should be what converts the most. Hope that made sense. It's 4 in the morning where I'm sitting

A button like the chocolate one above would be spot on, for more than one reason. It says all the right things.

  Now if you can take the easy button design and add the same text from the buttons on your OP, you may have something groundbreaking there. The Staples easy button has become quite popular these days due to their commercials.You may have to scrunch the letters a little bit to make them fit, or make the button a wee bit larger. On second thought, it may not work. Sort of like trying to stuff ten pounds of ish in a five pound bag.

Hey, I'm still a newbie. Look at designers Karl Warren. Took me a lot longer to do some of the things he does with web graphics. There are others, just can't think of them off the top of my head.

I didn't even realize AlienSkin was still kickin till you mentioned it.

Here's one from an update button set called "Prestige". Two of the most powerful colors in marketing are silver and yellow. Here's one you can use for your WSO's. It matches perfectly with the new grey thread background...
