IE is dead as far as I'm concerned. I haven't used it since 2004.

Primarily, I use Firefox -- it's got tons of great apps and I love the fact that it's customizable to my specific preferences. One issue that I HATE about Firefox? It crashes without warning and at times (even after the recent "fix") can use TONS of RAM.

SOMETIMES I use Chrome. I like Chrome because it's blazing fast, secure, and minimalistic. If I weren't so used to Firefox, I'd probably use Chrome all the time. Either way, it's great to have two browsers to fall back on!

I used ff for years, ever since they came out with tabbed browsing. About a year ago it was getting balky and quite a lot of people suggested chrome. I switched over and it was better at the time, but then it started having a couple of problems.

Tried out ff again, and it was now faster than Chrome. Plus it works better with my style, and I was using it often enough for the web developer toolbar, etc.

I have several because sometimes it's good to have an option to switch. Firefox tends to have more flexibility at times than Chrome in that some websites will even make certain browsers glitch either due to security of the browser or code conflicts and another browser should be used at that point. Chrome is more secure and I like that it is clean and doesn't have a lot of clutter and a larger viewing area. It's also used to handling several tabs, up to 20+ at a time without failing usually. I do not like IE it irritates me.

Just a word of caution about Safari. I had to download it lately and the latest Windows version does not show the status bar by default. You have no way of seeing where a link is actually going to unless you look at the source code.

Pressing ctrl + / will toggle the status bar.

Yes, that's exactly my experience. I've only started using it again a couple of weeks ago, so it might be only the latest version that is running better than Chrome.

Have switched back to Firefox but only because Microsoft truly sucks.

Took my PC back to factory settings and for an unknown reason once the system was back up and running I can no longer use LastPass and Hootsuite addons in Chrome (both support desks could not come up with a solution).

However this combination still works fine in Firefox

So Firefox it is, at least until I make the switch to Ubuntu later this year.

Opera has stepped it up. For those still using XP and a fairly seasoned computer definitely give it a try. Firefox/Chrome have gone down help drastically. At least for those running older operating systems.

Personally I'm Windows XP for life. haha. I have windows 7 on on 2 laptops and 8 on my other. I hate 7 and 8 and constantly consider downgrading. Both my desktops have XP and firefox is god awful.

Over the course of a day I end up using Opera Chrome Firefox and IE, but always use opera when I use the internet for socializing.

Some websites and applications run better in different browsers. No way around that.

But when I started playing with Chrome, I was hooked! I'm a

Have just switched back to Firefox from Chrome due to its inability to load more than a couple of tabs at the same time (blog reading).

Firefox is not as smooth when it comes to keeping personal and business browsers separate and there is a current issue when it comes to opening links in emails that cause Firefox to crash due to the default profile being locked.

However that is a minor issue compared to Chrome not loading sites.

Firefox on the Android works smoothly and without issue and can easily download all of your desktop bookmarks.

I use Chrome almost exclusively, but Firefox on occasion if they have a specific plugin I need to use. IE is too slow, but Firefox is slower than Chrome in my experience.

I use Safari most often because it is the only browser that allow me to preview PHP files from Dreamweaver. Otherwise, I use Firefox and Chrome.
