It really depends on which platform of Online you are working in. If you are interested in blogging, you will need some time to earn decent money. It is never so easy to earn money in internet. Hard work, patience is very important in it. If she can invest some money, she can go for forex trading.

It all depends on which countries food she can cook. For example, if all she knows is how to cook India food (using India as an example), someone from Columbia might not be interested in learning how to cook India food. I guess most of her users will be from your from your country.

Just like Alex said, it needs a great dedication to make money online.

After getting targeted traffic she can sell recipe, e-books etc. For that niche affiliate marketing can also give a good amount of money. But for continuous income, it is important to work regularly and wait. Because it requires a customer base first.

If she isn't already, she should be promoting affiliate products (both physical and digital). She'll most likely want to use Amazon. Now, she should go for the higher-priced items as well as cross promote related items in addition to the main product she is reviewing.

She should also build a list. She can send out some of her favorite recipes and recommend products her list will need to make it. She could also make her list aware of and pass along discounts on stuff.

Maybe she could write her own cookbook and sell it from the site. This would be especially good for a specific type of cooking.

Depends how much time she puts in an what route she goes down.

Whip up a cook book (1-3 days working hard) and sell it on a food forum (instant) - done, instant rewards for a short period.

Find a keyword about food that people looking to buy related items would use, make a site, upload quality content about food, get people talking about it and sharing it, start getting income. This could take two weeks to several months, but when you are there it takes little effort to stay getting paid over and over.

I guess it comes down to sustainability!

Patience is the key. If one is lucky, then one can earn cash immediately.

        Adsense is a good starter.
After adsense, there are other revenue packages available.

First, build you site with all the care.

It depends on may factors. Especially how much traffic the site gets. After this the conversion rates will depend on the products she is promoting and how she pre sells. Afflitiate offers have very different EPC.

She should network with other websites that offer cooking tips. This is THE FASTEST way to get traffic.

She should make herself known to these other high authority cooking sites and share with them valuable content that they then will share with their already big audience of viewers. The other site will be happy to share the valuable content with their viewers and she'll be happy to get their traffic!

I would highly suggest using adsense for a couple of months and start learning about backlinking and keyword research, if not done so already. If she needs help direct her to this forum. There is plenty of information on internet marketing on this forum.

Have you considered making videos and putting them on YouTube? What about a live cooking lesson? there are really lots of ways this can be monetized.

She could consider putting together a recipe book as an ebook or kindle book.

Also a video series may be a good idea or perhaps a video course to get started with cooking or cookery lessons.

She could also offer 1 to 1 cooking lessons on Skype.

Blogging is quite in nowadays, and a personal recipe blog with good quality images would not only appeal new visitors but also make her money through ads. Moreover, it would substantially enhance her cooking skills onto new horizons and she would have fun while doing it. Maybe she should do something she is passionate about. For some people blogging works out to be effective as that's something what they have fun doing.

Took me 6 days before i made my first money online. Was estatic about it.

I would tell your friend to add Adsense, make sure she posts everyday, drive traffic via free methods (have her learn internet marketing), put affiliate products on her blog (doesn't have to be ebooks... can be pans, ovens, stoves, silverware, etc)... and even consider running some cheap PPC campaigns to build her subscriber base, so that she can connect with them everyday.

With a blog, you need to really spend time on your content and really focus on getting everything right.

Approach your blog with prolonged consistency so that you can really go ahead and build up that all important traffic.. THEN you'll be able to monetize your blog.

This could take months or just a few weeks depending on your niche, and also on your content.

It usually takes 2-3 months to see any steady revenue. Even then, you may only be making $5 per week. Once you find the way which is "easy" for you, you'll know what to do.

If you're displaying ads, be sure to use target="blank" in your <a> tag. Once they're done with the advertisement, you're tab will still be open. Once you have traffic, the conversion rates will rest in details like these. Good luck!!

It's all up to how hard you work, the method you use, and a little bit of randomness/luck mixed in. Some people make $ within their first week, and for others it takes over a year to bring in consistent income. I recommend your sister decide exactly how she wants to make money (looks like blogging so far), then study the poeple that are already doing it. Become friends with them and even ask to be coached. One of the quickest ways to success is to learn from those that are successful.
