my sales funnel REVEALED

Hi,

That's my planned sales funnel, could you help me to optimize it?

1) buy Leads:
Buy PPC
-0,35€ cpc, (not sure)
-17% optin-Rate (Tested)
-3500 buyed clicks per Month with Adwords and other ad-networks (estimated)

2) oto after signup
-Subscriber gets offert to signup somewhere else for free and gets a free gift from me for that
-5% estimated conversion Rate (2 offers with 2€ and 3€ comission)

3) hopefully, this autoresponder makes me ca$h:
-Alternate: first 5 Content Newsletter with little or no pitch, then 2 Newsletter Promotion, then again 5 Content Newsletters
- I estimate each Promotion to pull in 1,5% sales per subscriber, is this realistic?!

Promotion 1 (Day 15 after subscription) : My learning course, 47€ 2 Bonuses
Promotion 2 (Day 53 after subscription) : My learning course, 37€, 4 Bonuses
Promotion 3 (Day 92 after subscription) : Affiliate-Offer (comission 30€) +
my subscriber get my learning course for free, if they take the affiliate offer
Promotion 4 (Day 117 after subscription) : Affiliate-Offer (comission 18€) +
my subscriber get my learning course for free, if they take the affiliate offer
Promotion 5 (Day 140 after subscription) : My learning course, 27€, 4 Bonuses
+ to Promotions on Day 170 and 210 for 2 other affiliate Products

4) Use butterfly-Marketing
-7% (estimated) of subscriber will recommend 3 new subscribers (they get a gift for recommending)
- In the ps of every content Newsletter, ther is a pitch to recommend the Newsletter to receive my gift.
--> lowers Cost per Subscriber by 20%

5) revenue
This should pull in exactly 1000€ per Month.

Where do you think are the weak points of my plan? (Where are my estimations to high)
How should i modify the plan to make more ca$h?

thanks in advance

Ps: For your further reading: My main costumers are middle aged women interested in the scholar-education of their kids. I try to sell to them a 6h+ learning course for their kids to get better grades.

You're obviously spacing your promotions far apart. But is it too long to wait?
What are you emailing via your autoresponder for days 0 - 28 ?
Are you emailing daily content? 3x per week content?

Yes, i wrote that wrong, its day 15.
Normally, the content newsletter would came each 5 days. and the two promotion emails have a time-lag of 2 Days.
This boils down to 1 Promotion a Month, is this not enough?
The subscriber are middle-aged women, so i thought, don't mail to often, because they don't check their mail every day.

I think most importantly, is 1,5% sales rate per Promotion per Subscriber too much/ too low?
Because this is the most important figure and the one i understand least.

    Ok, yes, I see.

Disclaimer: Are these mostly British women? If so, my thoughts are not as valuable since I'm American.

I would not wait 5 days between content. I would send content daily or atleast every other day. Can you break up your newsletter into small parts? Within each email I would include a link to the article section of your website where all the previous emails are also posted as blog posts. This way your subscribers can access any content again that they may have missed or deleted.

It's more work to make more emails and copy them as blogposts, but this seems to me to be the trend in email marketing. More frequency of communication broken up into smaller amounts.

Thanks Jeff, so you would email them like every 3 days? Would'nt this disturb them?

What do others think about the ideal time-lag between two content newsletters?

From my personal experience, and from what I've read online, the public is more conditioned to receiving lots of emails. They get so many, it's easy to miss an occasional email. So by providing emails daily or atleast every other day, you increase the chances subscribers see your emails. Yes, your open % may drop some, but that's the trade off. I have personally found daily emails keep my list fresh. Yes, I get unsubscribes, but again, I'd rather have a list of followers and buyers, than just a bunch of readers. One caveat would be you must consider your audience. How well do you know your audience? And that's my disclaimer about middle-age British women I share none of those demographics

I think 5 days between emails could make them forget about you. And if they have a problem to solve, they wouldn't wait another 5 days for next email, they'd google a solution right away.

Folks, the million dollar question is: Should i split test subject lines of the newsletter first, or should i spilit test Newsletter frequency first?! Or can i split test it at once? I mean the frequency won't intefere with the subject lines to much, you could assume those two variables are independed from each other or not?

I would try and tweak your squeeze page to up your optin rate. Even 5% increase will improve you ROI on paid traffic.

    All the best

nice tip, i will try mulitvariable split test. Only 5% e.g. 17,85% Optinrate will increase revenue by 6%, thanks to the butterfly effect

    here is a good tip.

make sure your newsletters are very short. I suggest making 2-3 sentences with a link to your content on a private blog page.

Helps to get inbox and i'm learning that most people are not reading their entire emails but skimming them.

this will also help train your subscribers to click on promos

Interesting funnel, you may want to add a continuity offer in there, it's a surefire way to make some passive income.

      Hi Jay

Do you mean, i should add a second offer of a product from myself?

And the second question: Is it usefull to split test frequency and subject lines of the newsletters at once?
