  • Here is an advice i carry dear to my heart with I'Ming:
assume everything is fake and is there to deceive you
  • Banned
I did a guest post on Flippa on that very topic

  • I recommend reading feedback and look at sellers who have 100% feedback. Be careful with the newbies. Some are mischievous.

    • This is very good advice. Do not accept bids from, or bid upon sites from any new members without at least 3 transactions.
  • Do not buy any website from anywhere unless you know how to run it, or unless you have a basic experience making money online. 100% you'll lose.
Try creating your own free blog, learn from it, and the moment you gained experience, that's the time you can buy established websites.

Earning stats is deceiving, don't get fooled.
  • Flippa now has a verified adsense income option so that you basically need to verify your adsense income before you put it up for sale. So when you're searching for sites at least their verified income (as best as possible) will be displayed.
  • There are several ways you can identify the fakes... with flippa newly implemented adsense earning verifier..

Normally I do not even consider listing that do not have verified google analytics etc anymore as they can be easily be faked.

My advice is that if you have much money to invest to buy a website; why don't you learn the knowledge needed to run a proper website; and create your own.

Its a given that it will take some times to start getting revenue from it but nevertheless you are learning...
  • Ask questions of the seller. Ask for proof and check them out.

  • Hi,

You need to do some simple research about the website you are going to buy. You can find out whether they are real or fake. There are a lot of online available websites which can be used to check the website performance.

Do check the website information properly before you purchase the website.

On the other hand, maybe you could learn to make a website yourself.
  • I think that the first rule of the thumb is to make sure that the seller has good feedback. I would not buy from someone with less than stellar feedback. Also someone said before there are many websites where you can check if the site is actually what it says it is.
  • thanks for the advices.i would create my own but i have no idea of coding.but i think it will be better to brake down a couple of new sites created by me and learn from it then look for established .
    thanks
  • They do have well documentation regarding buying or selling websites or domains
  • If you are only going by feedback then you will certainly lose your money. There is much more involved in buying a website. Most of the sellers are faking almost everything.

Get the due diligence right or lose your hard earned money. It is as simple as that.
