How big is your opt in list?

Hi

Opt in lists are one of the best ways to make sales online - you already have an audience for any new products you wish to promote.

  • How big or small is your opt in list?
  • How do you grow it?
  • Have you ever used any lead generation companies? If so which ones?
I have been in this business about 3 weeks and my list has just started to grow. It's a tedious process but I know things take time

Does anyone have any tips or advice to help me grow my list?

Thanks in advance

Dave

Size isn't the most important factor.

More important is how you structure your website and how you relate to those who actually do join your list.

Of course you still have to drive traffic to the site, but there are methods to do that which can be easily learned. here is a response I posted to someone else which is also pertinent here.

If you structure your website so that it is built using an email marketing model you need only 1 new subscriber before you start selling.

Have a look at how the following website is built. Follow the links through. Subscribe to the newsletter and see how that system handles them and how the content of each newsletter is structured. See how each step is carefully crafted to first get the email address and then to send the new subscriber to a sales page.

You don't need a big list. You need a well-designed system that knows how to deal with those visitors that reach your landing page.

Incidentally, the following landing page is a bit long. I've found that shortening it but retaining the essentials also works.

PS. PPC traffic also works if you can get it cheap enough. It's faster but also design the website to attract SEO trafffic.

"My schwartz is bigger than yours!"

sorry - couldn't help it. I'm with Ivan though - size isn't everything. Quality is important too. Are these people that have purchased from you, or are they just lookie loos?

A list of purchasers is FAR more valuable than a list of newsletter opt-ins, though of course the newsletter list is still valuable...
