They are not very powerful unless used in bulk. They might work for some people, but it's a dangerous road to go down. I'd steer clear of it.

For instance, if I create 100 forum profile links for my website, will it hurt my website? or will it help to rank my website? We all know that, it may be the easiest link building process .

building them to your money pages is a big risk and not something i ever do

but if your promoting videos, web 2.0 sites or any other video or feeder site then they are ok, but there not exactly great ways to build links, they are very low quality

Based on experience, they are not good at all... Forums signatures are pretty powerful.. profiles are not even close. Most active forums delete members who are not active for sometime. Especially if they discovered that you joined through a software just because of profile link.... In short, you are wasting your time...

I am a member of more than 50 forums where I have my signature and I am maintaining my membership and signature visibility by posting at least 5 posts a week in each one of them.... Starting next week, my new VA will do that work...

You need to be really careful about bulk forum profile links.

It will get your website penalized by Google especially when these forums are not relevant with your niche.
