I'm at a crossroad in my life if you will and im not sure what i should do. I'm 23, I have a little over 7k just chillin. I make a little under 1k a month online but it's just not enough to live on each month. I DO NOT want a regular 9-5 job.

My goal in life is to be happy, wake up every day stress free and if i get a job that would be a major inconvenience for me. I love internet marketing but i just cant make enough money from it. I have a feeling if i don't make more eventually ill be forced to get a regular job. Should i try to start an offline business?

I just don't know what to do. I'm not looking to make a ton of money here and there. I need something that i can rely on consistently month after month. But i need to make over 5-7k a month or i fear i will never be satisfied with my life

  • I don't understand. You say you don't make enough to live on, then you say you have 7k "just chillin".

Your thread title asks if you should "take the money and run". What money?

    • should i take the 7k and just go get a regular job is what i meant and get out of internet marketing

  • Hey, your thread title is confusing. Anyway, If I were you, read more threads and surely it will help you to be a successful internet marketer, you need to have the right direction and contacts.

    • Is there people i can pay here that would help me?

  • I think the post makes sense. He's accumulated 7K from IM and can either reinvest it into his IM ventures to potentially grow or take the 7K, keep it in the bank, and get a job. The answer really falls upon your circumstance. If you have money to fall back on (more than that 7K), you might consider sticking with it. If you need money though, a salaried job with benefits can actually give you less stress rather than more.

    • Thank You this is what i meant. After i submitted the post i thought people might get mad by it like they usually do cause it's not 100% clear.

Thank you for the info too ill keep that in mind
  • Since you are already making just under 1K /month, add more effort so that you can quit your 9-5 work per day...
  • If you're making 1K a month, the phrase that comes to mind is " Rinse and repeat".

If you are making money from one niche you could simply expand on that or explore other niches?

Oak trees grow from acorns, small beginnings is what I'm saying.

  • Why don't you do more of what you're doing that's bringing in the money? It's called scaling up.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • At first read, your title shows that you have found somewhere(at road,in street ) 7 K money and you are asking us whether should you run or not.
  • Why dont you keep making the 1k a month and get a regular job, that way you will earn from your job and the IM money you make can get you all the nice things in life.
    • [1] reply
    • Because it takes up too much time. I can't look back in 10 years and say that's what i spent my time doing. Im already 23 and i feel like the time is just going by way to fast and its scary

  • At first read, your title shows that you have found some 7k money somewhere and now you are asking us that whether you should take that money and run or not
  • Normally i would never post something like this but my feelings are so day to day and up and down a lot of times i just would like to be a dancer or an actor or a model or something like that. I feel if i can make a decent amount of money then i can go and try something like that with full devotion because i wouldn't be worried about other things (financially) My brain dosen't let me forget ever that im not where i should be
  • If your making $xxx now, usually you can do the same thing 4 or 5 times over and turn it into $xxxx. If you find something that works rinse and repeat.
  • You just stated on an internet marketing board that you have $7,000 and you are open to being pitched services.

I don't know about leaving internet marketing but right about now you should be running from your PM box.
  • Your also saying that the 1K a month is not enough to reach your goals and let you live the way you want to live.

Then you ask if you can pay someone to help you, which means you have just opened another can of worms to be dumped on your head. If you do this do your research on who ever you talk with. Don't just jump in to the first thing that has great sales copy or the first person you talk directly with. There are 100's of folks on here who are very knowledgeable and have the ability to teach what they do to help you grow your business into a successful Internet Marketing career.

Word to the wise though, there are also a whole bunch of folks with no business ethics of any kind and will take you for every dime if they can get inside your head and will do it with no regard for you. And yes i'm saying they are on the Warrior Forum.

I'm not a coach but I know several folks here that are first class teachers and will stick with you through the process. I'm not an affiliate nor will I be compensated in any way if you hire them to teach you. Be prepared to work though, because they won't do the work for you.

Since you don't have enough post to PM me I'm going to P.M. you and give you my e-Mail address and the folks you might contact.

  • I've been 23 once and I definitely know how you feel... the point where you just want to start being successful..lol... but honestly earning 1K a month is not that bad.. you got your way earning that much it means your strategy is working, what you need to do is just to scale up what you have been doing now.
  • If you found it, I would take it.
  • 5-7k - ? You think it's very many?
  • If you've made 7k then look at what has earned you the most of that 7k. Eliminate any parts of the process that slow you down, and introduce new things in turn (utilising split testing so you know what works better etc) to improve those results further.
  • There are many WSO's that has 1 v 1 coaching and there is a guarantee that if you dont make X amount of money from it they will pay you back 100%...i recommoend searching for those.
  • Thanks for all the comments everyone i really appreciate it. Lots of good info there. See i would like to get help from someone but i just don't know who and i don't want to waste money because ive already did that before way too much.

Who is really trusted that has helped people on wf before in the past?

    • It's possible to pick up much good advice by doing what you're doing. You have a problem or a question and you ask on here - at least you can focus on what you've set yourself to do.

As far as who is a good person to pay for advice - then it all depends on what type of IM you are in.

in my own experience some of the best general IM training that covers loads of areas has come from Jason Fladlien and Wilson Mattos - excellent..
  • I Seriously doubt you made that much money, if you or any one who had tasted the success in internet marketing can't even think about leaving it, instead they try to make it big and try to scale it up...

From all of you posts here everything just looking negative..

you should be asking about how to scale up your profits .. but you are just giving the reasons why you want to quit...

$1000/month is more then enough that anyone can put in their business and try to make it more profitable..

there are many who set up their online business from nothing, And you r thinking about quitting when you are earning $1000/month ... Amazing man..
  • You have gotten your perfect answer which is to scale up what you are already doing. You can use some of your money to outsource your work so you can do more with less time.
  • Trust me, the Internet marketing world is fickle and what works now might not work tomorrow. You should try to develop multiple streams of income. Perhaps you should start a blog explaining how you make money. That would be a good start.

Do you have any work experience whatsoever? Note that nearly all successful entrepreneurs have had jobs before at one point. You still need experience before you can run a business...
  • Dude you are going about this all wrong, just get a part time job to help supplement your IM income... then keep making money online... more will come.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • I agree with the above quote.

Get a part time job to take care of your expenses and
scale up the method you were using to make the 1k.

If you can find a mentor to help you speed up the process
      that would be great.
  • looks like IM is not your passion, take the money and RUN
  • Is it a hassle to duplicate your $1k a month income? How long has it taken you to reach this sales figure?
    • [1] reply
    • I'd move to somewhere in Asia/South America where you can easily live on $1000 per month then I'd buckle down and work on the business for a few years until you make it.

Go somewhere like Chiang Mai, Thailand where you can make friends with lots of the entrepreneurs that are there and basically bounce ideas of each other so you can all improve.
  • I work full time in internet marketing doing about 50 hours a week but not for myself, I work for a company, and I am 25. I only work about 10 hours a week on my projects. In 3 years from the now I will be making 100k+ on my own and living in Costa Rica, sometimes, especially when you are young, you have to buckle down and do some hard work. Point Blank!

    • 25 is that age where next year is 40. lol it happens fast like that trustme.

  • What SeoDemon said, plus - even if you earn enough, you'll not be happy if you don't do what you love to do.
  • Wow 23...you are pretty old. I'd just hang it all up and start sewing.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • $7k is not a lot of money but you can turn it into more money with the right system.
Search around and do your homework on a proven money making system you would like to get plugged into. Making $5k to $7k a month is not hard at all with the right systems in place
    • [1] reply
    • I would suggest you invest that 7k.

1.) Use 1K to have someone build a decent blog about YOUR PASSION.
2.) Use Another 1k To Develop Multiple List Building Campaigns.
3.) Use 2K for SOLO ADS to drive traffic to that list building campaign.
4.) ANother 1k For PPC on FAcebook to drive even more traffic to the list building campaign
5.) $600.00 On The Best Marketing course you could find
6.) $700.00 in SAVINGS OR INVESTMENT
7.) Give $700.00 to Someone who needs it.

Use That 7k To Make The 5k Per Month.

  • It's a fact that more money = more problems.

Never get into Offline business, because it can be very stressful as well. You got people spending money they expect you to deliver

You should keep your 7K and find a job until you are making enough to live on and have money in savings to last in case of emergencies or a drop in income. You could take a small part of the 7K and invest it in something, but I have recommendations on what to invest in.

If you don't get a job, you're going to whittle away the 7K paying living expenses since your IM career doesn't do the job.
  • I say split it, save half invest half. Then since you are already making 1k off of t he internet...That's 1000% further than most people ever get...take what you are doing and learn how to scale it higher. Always make improvements/changes to increase your income.

  • If you're not making 5-7k per month right now, I would say that you don't really 'need' that amount.

Truthfully, you need to first make enough to pay your month to month bills.

At that point, you are financially independent, and it's a matter of scaling up from there.

The average 4 person household income in the US is about a third of what you say you 'need'.

You can do both on and offline businesses. If you're already doing $1k per month, you should be able to cover you basic bills already, unless you're blowing a lot of money.

If you know about SEO and internet marketing, it would make perfect sense to start a SEO company. Kevin Wilke has a course that's put together nicely, and i think he charges two payments of $497 or something like that.

But honestly, you should just scale up whatever you're already doing.
  • I mean if you have success with something that you can scale up, GO FOR IT. If you need to work on it all day and it might go away, that's a different story.

I think you can do better than those numbers but you gotta get creative.
  • Dude, you already make more online than 80% of this forum... lol.

  • Keep doing what you're doing and obtain at least a part-time job. I wouldn't consider relying on IM as a full-time income stream until you can consistently earn enough monthly/annually to live on.
  • I would keep it banked, maybe take 1,000 and spend freely, take another 1,000 and put it to good use in your online programs.

Now one more thing, get a job, unless your doing IM full time get a job. No reason to take life lazy, Get up exersize, eat breakfast work hard, then play, take a nap in between hard and hard, but do it.

    Thats what mama always said.
  • I can see where you're coming from and I'm a similar position. It took me 2 years to build up an income of just $400 a month selling ebooks. Its easy to say 'copy and do it again', but some things take time and change.

Nowadays you don't need that much to start a business. I would lower my living expenses as much as possible and keep that 7k in case of emergencies. In the meanwhile, follow your passion and offer services to companies. Are you good in accounting? Offer a bookkeeping service.

Then you even turn it into a product with a website. Just read the posts here on Warrior on how to do that.
  • Grab yourself a good premium domain name, develop and flip it. BAMMMM!!! You now have doubled or tripled investment ... or even more. Rinse and repeat.

It does take some work but its worth it.

  • It appears that you are ready to invest for scaling up your business, then you can go invest in different segments like ready to use Membership websites, online MLM network marketing, etc. These can also help you in creating a residual income.

Building a good residual income initially takes time, money and effort. So be prepared.
  • Agreed with Mahipal: time money and effort. Pigheaded discipline and determination too!
  • If you don't like a 9-5 job, then you should invest some of your 7k in IM. Believe me, it's not an easy job but the ROI is really worth it.
    • [1] reply
    • Does anyone like that 9-5 grind? Not many people do. haha

I only like it because I've been there for ages and the pay motivates me to keep going!
  • Re-invest. Repeat past success and continue building. 7k is more than most have ever made in IM.
  • Invest the $1k a month in building an email list on a niche you can find profitable, then build an information marketing business around it. Selling information is quite profitable.
  • TS have gone already... I agreed with Seodemon, he seems to lose interest in IM ? If he lose interest in IM, no point working IM..

  • Being tremendously successful is easy. Convincing yourself of that fact is 90% impossible. (for some)
  • nice work on getting $1k a month. What business did you do to get there? Can you scale it up and get it to produce 2k or 3k a month now?

    Best,
