Experience with Adswap & Experience with Solo Ads?

Hey folks

Just wanted to share my experience with Adswaps.

I have been doing adswaps recently and noticed that it is not that effective. I mean I am getting 40% conversion on landing page. But the majority of traffic seems to come from "non buying" countries.

And that is because majority of exchange partners (not all) have built list that way - through Adswap!

I am going to delve in solo ads and shall share my experience on this thread.
My guess is solo ads are going to be more effective than adswap.

What has been your experience in Adswap and in solo ads?

    hey guptara

as i said to you earlier, ad swaps have never really performed for me

the traffic just seems to be totally hammered and sick of seeing offers

i spend a lot of time building my list and making it responsive so the last thing i want to do is send them to other lists just to get hammered with offers and garbage because most list owners, all they do is hammer there lists with offers

if anyone has used ad swaps and had good results then thats cool, but there not something which i really want to do much of anymore

I agree Paul. That is why I am going to delve more and more in solo ads. In adswap what I am noticing is that it is almost the same set of subscribers in most of the lists. And I am not sure if they are going to buy over time since they become habitual to seeing free offers.

I agree Tim, the marketing methods keep changing. Once it was adwords, then came article marketing, then facebook etc. It is necessary to adapt to changing environment

What is your favorite marketing method?

This market is not a good method of effective advertising, many of the consumers on the list are not informed of the Swap, they get multiple offers promoting the same product, while it might seem like a good idea at the time, the truth is this is not a good thing at all.

Marketing is changing, much of what we "think" about marketing is about to change yet most "Marketers" do not realize that these changes are coming...

The "Smart Marketer" is a marketer that is aware of the market and informed about what is going on in this ever changing world, we think we understand how things work and the temptation to bend or break the rules is strong, however the golden rule is still the best bet.

How do solo ad sellers build their list? probably by adswaps.
