Is August a good month to launch a WSO?

I have seen that this month the Alexa rank of many sites is going down. That means few sale persons and few clients. Is this a good month to launch a WSO (or a similar offer)?

The last few months have been quiet, and it's quite often the case this time of year. But things should start to pick up again now until the next end of the year.

If sites are dipping in traffic and sales are down its usually because people are outside this time of the year... not at home on their computer buying things. Something to think about at least--but I wouldn't make it an end all be all marketing rule.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Nope. It's a horrible, horrible, horrible month. You should've launched it in July. Now you'll just have to wait 10 more months for July to roll around again so that you can launch it.

The way the WSO forum works now, every month is a horrible month to launch unless you have affiliates lined up to back your WSO. If you throw it out there for free or for way less than it's worth, you'll get some sales on it, but the "millionaire successes" don't work without affiliates anymore.

You need to look at each WSO as just another step up the ladder. Personally, I have a long list of products planned. I know full well the first product released won't be the most profitable. The next one should be just a bit more profitable. The third one even more so etc.

You don't see any of the big guys quitting after they have released their first product and you shouldn't either. Be willing to accept not making money (or even losing money) on your first product. Consider it an investment for the long term.

I know. I'm just letting him know that, unless he's extremely lucky, his first WSO won't set him for life. 2-3 years ago, you could put a product in there and it would sell like crazy and you didn't need affiliates to push it. Nowadays, that's just not the case anymore.

I have at least 3 more in the funnel now, fwiw.

I guess you could say that August is in the top 12 months of the year to launch a WSO!

    Sorry, I'll get my coat
