Forwarding With Masking Vs Forwarding Without Any Difference?

If you purchase a functional/catchy domain name that you simply plan to forward to an affiliate product is it better to use masking so that returning customers might better remember your domain name specifically for repeat business or would it not really make a difference if you just forwarded it without the masking.

    Hi Jon,

If you're redirecting a domain-name to a Hoplink, I'd strongly advise you to use masking.

Not entirely for that reason, if the domain's redirected anyway. But because it looks better, from the customer's perspective, when they type in or click on yourdomain.com, if it appears to resolve to "yourdomain.com" rather than to a very long and (to some) suspicious-looking and hard-to-understand affiliate-link

Masking a url used to sound so complicated for me, now is soooo easy.

If anyone wants step by step instructions on how to do this let me know and I will post it here.

That is the only thing that I have learn how to do well, lol.

Maybe I should offer that as a gig on fiverr.
