Internet Marketers who disclose earnings and how they are doing it

It really helps to see how other people are making money and what is working for them and what isn't.

I know Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income discloses his full monthly income from all his online adventures on a monthly basis.

I have to say I have learnt a great deal from him.

Do you know of any other internet marketer / blogger who is doing the same?

    Jo Archibald used to but stopped for numerous reasons which he outlined in a post. It's definitely cool to see in an almost voyeuristic sort of way but I don't know that it really helps anyone all that much

    I think there are a lot of CB screenshots in WSO folder? I think they are also telling people on how they do it..... But of course it's up to you to believe or not...

    It's great when senior internet marketers show us proof of their earnings. But beware, you only get a fraction of the information and knowledge they have used to make those earnings.

    They give you just enough to bring you in; so you can pay them and learn from them through their products. There will still be a lot of things to learn and discover no matter how precise the information they are offering you seems to be.

    That's great that people disclose income but there is no way to duplicate anyone. These marketers took years of time to get to where they are at. Is there anyway to learn years of experience without being that person? Of course not.

    Become an innovator. Learn what you can from those people but just know that there is no way to get every ounce of wisdom necessary to become that expert unless you are them. Even their spouse cannot become the expert because its impossible to go through all of the experiences that another person goes through which makes up who that person is.

      Hey James,

      I agree that you can't simply hope to duplicate and find the same success. You mention it can take years to get to where you're at. (20 months in our case) That's true...but any real business you plan to build SHOULD take a few years, I think. I know it's a bit of a cliche now, but there really isn't a magic bullet...

      What you CAN try to do is copy some of the methods other successful people have used and make them your own by adapting to your strengths. Check out this recent article on Forbes about businesses that have used transparency as a tool towards their success. Pat Flynn had a nice mention along with others...pretty interesting.

    Focus on one thing and make it a success. Use the information available in Forums and ask questions wherever you feel the need to.

    Believe in yourself and believe that you can also become one like them. If you take steps to make it happen it will happen :-).

    You also have to be careful that stated income and CB/PP screenshots aren't just from the sales of a make money online infoproduct rather than from using the info in the product to make money in other niches.

    My advice is don't try to find other peoples income statement try to find your own income statement. From personal experience I've wasted a lot of time look at what other people are doing instead of picking something to do and perfect it.

    Meh, it does nothing for you unless you use it as a metric to "verify" a marketer you want to learn from. Even then, it's ineffective at best unless you constantly keep up with the methods of faking proof of income. Then there is the whole "your results may vary" part.

    I might make a million a month selling hot dog bun holders, doesn't mean you can. You don't have the brand, the head start that I had, or the same market opportunity (I've got it cornered).

    I suspect that a lot would depend on who was looking at the proof, if it were a client or customer you might see one thing but if it were the IRS I strongly suspect the figures would be entirely different...

    Use their earnings as motivation, but don't think that you have to copy their methods to be successful online - you will just waste your time trying too many new things.
