PRICING IS LIKE PULLING TEETH - How do you do it?

Hey warrirors,

If I could just take a second of your time, I am working on a new project and it will be solely my product. I am having a difficult time thinking of price points.

The first 3 products are my starting base, I have another 25 to add to the site, BUT.. I can't move forward with my launch untill I figure out what my price point should be.

I am playing with 2 ideas.

Price point 1 - $30/monthly, with 25 units sold per site.
Price point 2 - $99/monthly with each unit being exclusive.

Does anyone have price point 3 in mind?

Also, I will be launching a white lable option shortly... does $199/monthly sound like a good price point for the private label, with only 30 private label accounts?

Thanks everyone, I am very excited about my product

Why not offer a $1 trial with the higher price point and follow up, if they don't want it you can downsell with a $1 trial with the lower price point. Then you can upsell both of them for the private label option.

awesome idea! How would I set up this type of a funnel? If they decide against the $99/monthly, how would I downsell? I have never done that before. Will that downgrade my site? Making it become a limited site, instead of an exclusive site? Also, I normally use amember for my billing software, is there another option better suited for what I would like to do?

Why not try the one dollar trial for one or two weeks.

Then a membership price of around $30-$40 every month.

Test this first as you will begin to see what price and what length works best for you.

It is all about taking that first step then you can tweak and test furtherdown the line.

Hope this helps you and good luck with your future efforts!!!

hmm I thought about it, and having the trial woud seem redundant, because the sites need logo changes, and installation on private domains. I do not want to put a lot of work in setup, and get nothing in return, so would I just give the trial users access to the demo site, and then after they make full payment... then set them up on their own domain etc?

I just don't know if a trial is the way to go?

And you won't know until you try.

  • It's impossible to give you any meaningful feedback without knowing the product, its competitors pricing, etc.

I go for lower pricing if it helps to increase sales
