Tips on a Lead Generation page

Hi all,

First post here, love reading the forum so far!

I have a plan, but im not yet at the level of knowledge to put it into action. I would like to build a lead generation page to create a list within my niche, drive paid traffic to the site and promote my products thereafter.

My question is where do I start with this page, Are there templates available for purchase that I can use? I have 0 HTML knowledge so am looking for an easy route.

Thanks!

Sorry guys I think the term I should have used was 'Squeeze page'.

Could anyone reccomend a starting point.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

First things first, if you're planning on using Google Adwords then be forewarned: it can be very tough to send paid traffic to such a page as Google doesn't really like Squeeze Pages very much at all.

Now that that's out the way, here are some tips:

    1. Have a compelling call to action.

    2. Make sure you are giving something valuable away that people actually want to exchange their email for.

    3. Try to have at least one of your optin boxes "above the fold" as many people will not spend the time to scroll down.

There are many other tips I could give, but, if you get these 3 main points right then you will be off to a good start.

    Best of luck,
    Kenneth

Here is a great source for great lead capture aka squeeze pages for cheap at Fast Capture Pagesâ„¢
They are already built pages so just pick the one you want to use.

From my experience adding a video to your page holds your visitors for a longer period of time and can increase opt ins. A proof of income video is always good if you are promoting a business opp or affiliate program. Blessings my friend.

    Choose among the two options

1.Why not hire a copy writer for your page, there are templates available but Im not sure there are well written and enticing article for certain niche.
2.Or you can give free stuff, then they need to fill out there email address before getting the free stuff (make sure the stuff is inline with your niche, so that you dont need to worry if they are within your niche or not cause they wouldnt avail your free stuff if they are not your market). This option you don't need to create squeeze page, just post them or send them through email.
3.There are many more options, but thats for now

I always use optimize press for all of my squeeze pages and they work great for me

i usually average between 35% - 70% opt in rates

it is a $97 product but well worth the investment as it will save you a lot of time and head scratching and messing around with code

once you page is all set up, you need to set up a mini sales funnel and start driving traffic to your page

don`t try and get things perfect just get things going :-)

You need to correct this flaw in your mind before you are able to have any success online. Everybody with a plan needs to start IMMEDIATELY. No excuses, take action. Find the answer and put it into motion. Do not rely on other people feeding you the answer. Create the solution and keep taking massive action. The difference between the successful marketers and unsuccessful marketers is MINDSTATE.

Thanks everyone for the great replies.

I guess what I meant was I was looking for an actual template for the page itself, like a HTML template. I guess this is provided with optimize press?

Great advice so far, I know I need to get things going asap but I have a history of charging into projects like this without really understanding what I'm doing. This is something I am enjoying learning about and cannot wait to put all I am learning into practice.

Thanks again guys, any more tips are welcomed! So glad I found this forum at this point in my journey!

OptimizePress is a WordPress theme that makes producing

        sites very easy:

Optimize Press | Pro Internet Marketing Tools (no affil.)

If you want to have html pages instead, then just Google
a phrase like "html squeeze page template."

I guess Optimize press is where I should be focused, seems to be a lot simpler than HTML anyway.

Do you think Wordpress and OP will be easy to pick up for a beginner? Not tech savvy in any shape or form but not a complete eejit either.

          Thanks

Something like OptimizePress is ideal if you're a beginner
            and not particularly technical.

By using something like OptimizePress, you can get a
squeeze page up and running very quickly.

Their support is excellent and their members area has a
lot of great video tutorials that cover all aspects of the
            theme.

I got a couple of PM's re this, this is not something I am looking to outsource. I would prefer to either learn how to do this myself, or have a 'template' I could easily re-use.

I cant reply to the PM's until I have 50 posts so hopefully you guys read this!

Can anyone reccomend using adf.ly to generate paid traffic to a squeeze page?

This is something I was looking at, can anyone share their experiences of same, if any?

My experience was that all the traffic was from bots, sign up ratio appeared excellent, but the double opt-in rate was < 10% and even when I redirected straight to an offer it resulted in zero sales.

Concentrate on finding some pages you like to create a swipe file of all the things you like on a squeezepage and then try to reverse engineer them all.

It's also worth buying a list building WSO or looking through the warriors for hire / fiverr.

Hopefully you have already invested in aweber or equivalent and have a domain to host your new squeezepages on.
