There are lots of gigs on Fiverr that will place 50 to 100 classified ads all over Backpage for just 5 bucks. You can start there.

Maybe order a tweet gig on Fiverr too. Some of them have 100,000 followers or more.

There are a ton of traffic generation methods. The question is which ones do you want to focus on.

FREE: Forum marketing, classified ads, article marketing, press release, social media, document sites, telemarketing, video marketing, etc

Paid: banner marketing, ppc, ppv, post cards, magazine ads, voice broadcasting, etc,

Definitely, the paid methods are effective enough & the ones which we call FREE are not exactly free, we need time, money & possibly more than 1 person to depute in these activities who will only be responsible to get us traffic to our site by manual way...

If our focus is straight forward, clear & have a thought in mind to bring our business grow up within good rankings, hard work is a key...

As it was mentioned in one of the other replies, you need to focus on one area. You must choose something that suits you, your skills and what you feel makes the best impression.

Some ways work well over longer periods of time. For instance, article marketing does not give you an immediate surge of traffic to your site. If you use traffic exchanges, they will bring the traffic to your site, but it might not be as quality as other methods of traffic generation. People who use traffic exchanges are only really interested in looking at as many sites as they can as that will bring more traffic to their own site. If you have a splash page, TE's may be a good thing, but if you have a blog or something else, I advise you to use another method.

If you are willing to pay something for your traffic generation, that would be more effective, but it's not absolutely necessary because some of the best ways (ie social media and video marketing) can be free. If you want to make a video for YouTube, you can do that and have it published without spending a cent. I use Twitter a lot too and have built a great following. Twitter is more about you as a person and a businessperson than about spending money on advertising.

Things like SEO and PPC are quite technical. SEO can be a real headache for the newbie and PPC can be expensive if you are unsure of what you are doing. There are things that make SEO a little less daunting if you have a blog, you can download some great plugins to enable you to make the most of your SEO on each post.

I hope all this has helped you Kelly.

Opt in form is a bit awkward, try a vertical form instead of a horizontal form. Also the copy could be a bit better, increase desire etc. You should also put in some testimonials if you have them. Hope that helps!

There are lots of ways to generate traffic but pick the one that you know you can do and start with that. Sometimes when you are starting off, its very easy to get distracted with the different options and then you don't succeed anywhere. You will succeed if you work hard towards one or two but no one can focus on all of them when they are first starting out. So pick one and go for it.

So far, there's only one who said that you need to write good content, and we would like to second that.

That's where you need to start if your goal is to drive traffic to your website. You can't drive traffic to any website if there's no reason for anyone to visit your site. We're not affiliated to this site but I would suggest you to go take a read on this one.

    I hope this helps.

Search the forum for "traffic methods" or similar and you'll find millions of them.

    My favorites:

    * Write awesome content that people want to read (and that attracts search engine rankings)

    * Build links to boost your search rankings

    * Drive traffic with FB, Twitter etc

    * Fork out for PPC traffic
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6747182].message }}

I agree with Broderick - you opt-in form (Call To Action) is at the very bottom and in not in a horizontal format. I almost didn't see it. So that could hamper signups. I recommend a vertical sign up form - thats above the fold or in a couple of places on the landing page.

As far as traffic there are lots of methods listed here. The "good content" comments are definitely going in the right direction but I'm not sure if your site is set up to create fresh content. This would be key for on-page SEO. It will be tough without the page optimized for keyword searches if you are looking for Google Organic traffic. That would leave the other methods of traffic - solo ads on MLM sites with big lists (I've worked in this niche in the past), social sites through Fiverr in your niche, paid ads etc.

The first thing to try is to do some SEO on your site. It will cost some amount of money but there will be a great deal of improvement to your site and a higher chance of having more traffic.

After that, you can do some minor advertising to set the baseline level of response from customers. Then you can do major advertising to maximize the best options available. Of course paying for traffic is common nowadays but there are still some ways on how to advertise whilst having almost no payments at all, but it is a lot harder to do.

For a starter who can spend a little extra time and money, aside from research, it will also pay to have a bit of trial and error in the long run.

since your trying to build a list you have the option of free traffic and paid traffic

if it`s biz opp seekers you need then ppc or solo ads will be a good start and there a great way to build your list fast

while your using paid traffic though i would build your free traffic

your squeeze page does look a bit basic. I would send traffic to it just to see what it converts at and then go from there

Since you are a newbie, this means that you are making many mistakes in your first attempts. I advise you to study internet marketing very well, and build the right website with the right keywords, and especially with the right products, which must promoted only to people who care about this matter.

Before trying to send traffic to your website you must know how to make the right website. You probably have to improve your website.

For example, if your welcome message doesn’t attract the public because it is not well written and intelligent, there is no meaning on trying to send traffic to this page. If you website is a mess, there is no meaning on trying to sell anything there.

First of all, learn how to make money online from the beginning to the end. When you’ll understand all the process, and when you'll organize everything the best way you can, then you should care about sending traffic to your website.

The main thing you should focus on right now isn't exactly "how you should bring in traffic". Put yourselves in the shoes of your potential customers and figure out the path they can take to get to your website. Think like a customer, and then figuring out the formula to drive traffic in will be a lot easier

Why mess around for tactics that might never work, or take a year to work?

Start buying traffic. Track your offers to improve ROI, and continue doing that.

As mentioned above, there are many methods you can incorporate and you shouldn't just be confined to one or two.

There are many other things you can be doing too such as participating in forums, building your social networks, etc.

    You can drive traffic by:

    1. Writing and submitting articles

    2. Blogging or building alternate Web 2.0 sites like Hubpages and Squidoo.

    3. Bookmarking in sites like Digg and OnlyWire. Also include building Facebook fanpages and getting traffic as part of this.

    4. Classified advertising in sites like Adpost, Craiglist and Gumtree.

    5. Email marketing using Aweber or Getresponse

    6. Forum posting in sites like this.

    7. PDF submissions to sites like Divshare, Docstoc, Scribd and Slideshare

    8. Writing and submitting press releases

    9. Creating and submitting videos to sites like Youtube

    10. Rinse and repeat either by doing yourself or getting others to do for you.

You can also do paid advertising like Adwords or Facebook Ads.

But if you start out, I don't recommend that to you.

I also need to alert you that even after trying all these, do NOT expect instant riches into your bank account in your first 3 months let alone overnight.

I took 3 years to practise, test, amend and market before seeing the results I want.

It all boils down to how much effort and time you put in finding what your target market wants, building your site as an offer and getting them to see and buy.

Last but not least, how fast you can learn and implement.

Here's a simple solution to your problem:

Focus on 1 traffic method and do it until it works.

Often times we get overwhelmed with information overload because truth be told, there are PLENTY of ways to bring in traffic.

The best thing to do is to simply find something that you like and do it until it works!

If we focus on the dozens of traffic methods that people recommend we'll spread ourselves too thin and we wont see optimal results.

After mastering 1 method, then move on to another if you'd like but first Keep It Simple.

The best way to get a good traffic is to do lots and lots of SEO works. But remember to have a good content in your website. Never stop your SEO works. Concentrate on all fields of SEO equally. At the same time try with some automated SEO works. This could boost up your results with a better margin. An SEO tool could assist well in such case. For example a Search Engine Visibility Tool is available at http://www.XnYnZ.com/seo-tool/ . This tool does a lot of automated SEO steps. Some of them are,
    * Easy, one-click website submission to Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask, AOL and many more.
    * Easy one click submission to over hundreds of directories.
    * Improves search engine rankings with keyword and suggested topics tool.
resulting in getting a better traffic and better rank in search engines. All the best mate.
