Need help with site indexing

I submitted my site to Digg in order to get it indexed faster but it still isn't. When I look for it in Google with site: fitlifeskills.com it shows only post from forums where I had mentioned this domain and Digg page where it is bookmarked. But site itself isn't showing I did someting wrong?

You need more links, try Twitter, Articles, Make lenses, hub pages, do directory submission and so on. It will get indexed sooner or later, just worry about your content.

  • No. It can take some time to get indexed, even if you have cool backlinks. That's because Google is mysterious -- and probably doesn't want every new website getting up there fast. Quick buck artists used to get top results for a few days, then disappear.

You can thank them for the delay...

Try submitting sitemap.xml in google webmaster tools account.

It worked well for me for a site of mine.

To get a site indexed quickly the best way I've found is too add a wordpress blog to it. If you don't intend to use the blog thats ok, just copy and paste two relevant articles from one of the article directories like ezinearticles.com or goarticles into two posts on your blog. Remember to keep the author section though and give credit to the writer.

Put a link to your main site in the blogroll section and also put at least 1 link to your main site in the content of each post, preferably near the top.

That's it. I always do this for new sites and they generally get indexed within 36 (ish) hours
