Is selling a product on you thank you and conformation page part of your sales funnel?

If so how do you present the product?

There has to of been testing on it. What works the best?

Yes it goes to a free video that leads to a join page. It gets 3% and up conversions on targeted traffic. You will have to test and see what works for you. You can not go off of other people's results. Test your own campaigns and answer your own questions. My results have nothing to do with yours.

Where and how do you put the product on the page?

On top before the copy or below the copy?

Video or a link to a sales page?

Thats what I was talking about with testing. People are people. Their not going to change from one page to the next.

Basically I'm asking what is the best format on presenting a product on those pages?

There isn't a one-size-fits-all best format that will work
      for everyone.

There are just too many variables involved.

Like... what format YOUR market responds best to... how
good you are at creating content and offers in each format,
      etc.

That's why you need to test it for yourself.

Get your finger out of your arse and get some pages up
on the Internet to test it yourself, instead of looking for
a 'best' answer that no-one can give you.

If everyone followed that advice, there'd be no Warrior forum.

Related banners for proven products work best for me on download pages.

e.g. If I was building a list on weight loss I would put a banner for the top performing CPA offer on my download page. I would put an advert for "make money online"

If you have your own product it's also good to sell it for a new subscriber discount. This trains the new subscriber to know that you sell information products, and if you can do this via video it helps to start build the all important relationship.

Ultimately as others have said talk is cheap, so just go out and try some things.

Thanks for the ideas to start testing with. Sounds like a personal video to my customers would be a good start.

Absolutely. About 5% of our sales funnel value comes from offers on the download page.

In our case, that's ads for plugins related to the ones they've just bought with a discount to say thanks for buying.

I have pages up and running. So you don't see a problem in putting a link in the bottom left of the page to start out with? Test from there? Then move it to the right. Then move it to the center.

Or is there a good format to start testing with?

I understand testing needs to be done with my customers. I don't think you understand what I'm asking.

Its like if someone asked whats the best place for an opt-in form. You would say, get your finger out of your a$$ and test and find out.

There is a format that people use to start testing with. That's all I'm looking for.

Ill just search on Google for thank you page templates. A standard template format to start testing with.

I'm very disappointed in your response. I just thought of searching on Google while writing this post. If you would of suggested that it would of been A LOT better then what you posted.

Both of your posts appear to imply that somehow you can
transfer the test results of someone else to find out what
      will work best for you.

      It doesn't work that way.

Sorry you found my post unhelpful.

One of the most valuable lessons I've ever learned in
Internet Marketing is to do my own testing and not
rely too much on what other people say works best -
      especially from people a forum.

Asking for a starting point for some tests is different
than asking straight off for the method that works best.

I don't see why that would be a bad thing. I understand the results will not be the same. But I could test and change to where it would work best for me.

It would be better to take your page format then for me to get a free template. You all ready did testing and know what not to do.

Like what other people have posted in an example on what they do. So far it seems a video works well. It may not work for me but it is a good place to start testing for the best results.

If I just started testing with no information on what works for other people, It would take me a long time to find out what works best. Now if people gave me an example on what they do, I would have a better starting point then just go and test.

You know what would help a lot.

If you could post what you did when you first started. What testing you did and what the results where. The process you took to find the best results. Its not for me to copy. Its to get better ideas on where and how to test. What was your thought process when testing.

          OK.

Here's a process flow that I've found works well for me
          (your mileage may vary)...

Firstly, for most of my new prospect lists, I use confirmed
opt-in. Therefore, once a new visitor joins my list I send
them to a very simple page that has one objective: to
get them to check their e-mail and click on the link to
          confirm their e-mail address.

Therefore, it's a very simple page that says "Thank you
for joining my list. To get your free report on _____ ,
go to your inbox now to get your download link."

So, there's no additional offers on that page.

Some people do place an offer on the confirm page but
that tends to decrease confirmation rates and you end
up with a smaller list (unless you use single opt-in).

The confirmation e-mail simply says "To get your report
          on ____, click here."

(I use a self-hosted autoresponder so have full control
          over what that text says).

Once they click on the link in the e-mail they're then
redirected to the Thank You page:

I thank them for subscribing first of all and either include
a download link or the content right there. I use text like
"Here's your report on _____. You may also be interested
          in...(the offer)"

And below that I usually put the fulll sales copy for the
product I want them to buy (if it's my product) or some
pre-sales copy for an affiliate offer.

That's my starting point and then I try some variations
          to improve conversions.

I hope that helps you better.

for me including other products on my TY pages works really well

you don`t always have to include a product though, you could just add a link to another list that your building instead

i would always include some links or other products though, because if your buyers like your stuff then they will buy what you recommend too
