Done Any Business With Media.Net?

Have been approached by Media.Net to add advertisements for a revenue shared program they're offering. Any other webmasters use them before and what was your experience? Not too familiar with their company and couldn't really find any reviews about them on the web.

I got a solicitation from them last week, too. From what I've read on this forum and other sites, they are a reputable company and are basically an Adsense alternative (they use Yahoo and Bing ads). I didn't see anyone saying that they were better than Adsense as far as payouts, so I'm just sticking with Adsense. I don't want to waste a month of income testing them out without any indication that I'll make more with them.

Some have said that their ads look different from Adsense, so that helps to overcome some ad blindness and maybe generate more clicks. The downside is that you can't change the colors of the ads to match your site like you can with Adsense.

They have some pretty high requirements for site traffic and pageviews, and even if you're invited, apparently you still need to "apply" for an account. Also, you need to have each site approved, unlike Adsense.

They seem like a pretty good outfit for those whose Adsense accounts get banned, but why bother with them if your Adsense account is in good standing?

Thanks for the lengthy and helpful post. I am very happy with Adsense and I have been with them for two years. That's when I got weary, when they asked you to put up their ads for a 'trial'.
