Need Feedback/Help - Why No Sales From New Website With 500+ Visitors a Day?

Hello

I am after some feedback on a website and also some advice about making/improving sales etc.

I discovered a very high traffic/low competition keyword - Blood Pressure Charts. My idea was to build a quality website and then sell an eBook about lowering blood pressure. I put the eBook online two days back, but so far no sales. The website is currently getting 500-600 visitors each day, with a bounce rate of 65%.

I assumed that I would get a few sales a day with 500+ visitors a day. If anyone can offer any feedback or advice on the website, sales page, what I have done wrong, and what I can do to improve things, it would be greatly appreciated!

The website is: Blood Pressure Charts | Lower Blood Pressure Naturally

This is my first attempt at a project like this, so I am very interested to know where I am going wrong.

Thanks in advanced!

It might be wise of you to talk to a copywriter and have them redo your pages. If you are getting 500 targeted views per day its your words that are the problem. You are not convincing enough for the people to click and buy. Why is your book so cheap? You should raise the price unless it leads to other offers.

You have your ebook in the right spot, but you may need to change where it clicks through to. Instead of sending them to another page to buy, send them straight to a pay place.

uploadnsell.com is a great place to upload your ebook, put your price on it, and they will give you a direct link where the visitor can click the link, and it will take them directly to paypal where they buy and then receive the download.

That's all I would do. If they have clicked it, then they are interested already. Put the price somewhere on the book too.

I must wonder if the page loaded fully for me, or have you actually forgot to place a buy now button? *_* I couldn't find a link to pay for the ebook anywhere on your site, so if it is somewhere, DEFINITELY place it more visible. Neither did I find a link to an actual sales page.

I'm no expert but here's my take. First, you may want to add a pic of yourself on your about page. Bring in some more of the human element. Spread some human pics around the site. I'd make your About page the Home page (and vice versa) keeping this in mind.

Like someone else mentioned, I also think you should charge more like maybe 9.99 at the least and drop the "regular price is X" type of marketing. Also, I'd drop the add to cart button or at least make it smaller. It would be better if you had a nice call to action statement to replace it.

I may have missed how many pages the book is, but you may also want to consider offering the first couple of chapters for free to measure the interest level. An autoresponder program would work well for this, and you'll also start building a subscriber list in the process.

Another thing is I'd suggest that the navigation items to the right should be removed and added to the top navigation bar. You can do this by having drop down style navigation from that top navigation bar and list all the topics you have on the right side there instead. I think this will give your page a more spacious look and feel. There's a little too much action happening on the sales page and that could be distracting your visitors.

Test generating a free lead to see if your visitors are responsive in anyway possible.

P.S. Make your website more simple to navigate. Sure people may stay on your site for a long time and click around, but this doesnt mean that they will buy anything.

I think I know the problem.

The visitors you're getting are info seekers, not buyers - people mainly looking for blood pressure charts.

Many people will look at the chart and confirm that their BP is normal so won't need the ebook.

What you need are people coming to the site typing in things like..

    lower blood pressure naturally
how to lower your blood pressure
natural ways to lower blood pressure

Those are the types of keywords that will produce sales.

I actually had my blood pressure tested today and when I got home I googled to look up where I was on a chart. I landed on the #1 google result for "blood pressure charts" although I think my query was different than that. I was just going to look at a chart real quick and leave, no intent to buy at all. You need to be ranking for better keywords like articlewr2 says.

Besides the point made by the two post above, I see a lack of call to action. There is not a pursuasive strategy to turn the visitor into a buyer. Try tweaking this and adding call to action within the text and you will see results.

Thanks guys for all the advice, it was all very useful. I have done a bit more research and I think the main issue is that whilst there are 120,000 monthly searches, it's as DaveWarrior say, these people are all looking for information. They check the chart and then go.

I had assumed that with such a large volume of relevant traffic there would be people included who wanted to lower their blood pressure, but it appears not as many as I thought!

I am selling 3-5 eBooks a week now from around 20,000 visitors a month. There is huge scope to improve visitor numbers so I'll do that and hopefully sales will increase in a similar fashion.

    Thanks again guys.

  • Hi PhoenixWS, your website is a good content resource, but for example at first impact, I didn't found anything to buy in your site, apart a book advertised on the right sidebar and a banner on top.

If you are selling books try to place a book review with converting keywords, like the ones advised by Articlewr2, or others you can find using Google Adwords Keyword Tool or Market Samurai. Choose keywords wisely, and setup the website differently.

Sales will come, but not on this way.

And last thing, you need to check where traffic is coming from, if they are real visitors and not bots or spiders, and things like that.

Keep up! You will get sales doing the right changes!
    See you soon,
