Down Side of Trying Too Hard!

Hi Every one! Having entrepreneurial spirit and Trying Two MLMs and one other Business, I have determined to be scucessful in the Internet Marketing endeavor. So far I have been learing, taking actions daily basis.

Recently, I looked at the engagement in IM and I felt still long way to go if I do IM alone. It really frustrated me and since I have not made any money so far after about 10 months in to it. This is a common problem for most beginners have, but the key factor is when you Try Too Hard you lose every thing. I mean effort, money and most of all time.

All the possitive thoughts, frustrations got me to the point that If I work with a mentor I can overcome many unseen obstacles, save resources (time, money and effort) achieve my simple goal.

Believe me, finding a mentor was lot harder than I thought. I tried contacting top IMers in here and many did not even reply to my messages but only one Gentleman replied to me "$250/Hr" then after my reply for that message, communication stoped.

What do you think about working with a MENTOR and if you have any sugestions. I reapply appreciate. Thank you!

Internet business is not about trying to hard it's about trust. Most of the marketers normally start their business from home. Based on my experience, if you are new to this business I would try to learn the difference between subscribers and followers. Subscribers for the most part will join your list for a free gift. But a follower is more likely to buy from you! So how do you know the difference?

Well the answer to that is quite simple. By testing! Keep testing squeeze pages and track the ones who buy from you. Keep in mind, that concept is too simple for most people to follow. In general people want to make this business more complicated. Just trust the information that I just gave you period!

A pretty good question, I think.

By reading countless posts on this forum, one would be lead to believe that finding a personal mentor is a very easy and painless task. As you've explained in your OP, this isn't the case.

The only advice I can offer you is to seek out sites/webmasters who are using the business model that appeals to you and to follow their work. Or, if they have one, follow their personal blogs.

Mentors are great but you've got to be careful with what you advice you receive. Outsource as little as possibly and spend all of your downtown working. There is a lot of great advice on this forum when you do have a question but I think many internet marketers are just too busy to give out advice for free nor will they have the time.

I don't think you need a mentor. Maybe just post your website here, or whatever you're doing, and get advice that way. How do you know you can trust anyone? They are going to feed you the same FREE advice, that is on this forum and the internet. Post something that explains what you have done in the 10 months, a link to your website or whatever, and get feedback. I just hope you don't say your niche is making money online. I think a lot of newbies probably fail because they go for that niche. It's like you going and applying for a job as a music teacher just because you like to listen to music. Do you think you would get the job?

One should only look for a mentor when they have tried absolutely everything they can & still can't see any results. Often times people invest so much into looking for a mentor that had they put the same amount of effort into learning things themselves, they would have already succeeded.

You will find some good mentors but they are alot of money, so you need to be willing to invest.

Some IM people do coaching programs you need to be on a coaching program.

you really need a mentor and you can't improve your IM experience without help of others. But remember that the main creativity that you really need to shine, in an inbuilt quality of you.
So try doing it by yourself and take suggestions from others.
I suggest not to work hard but to work technically.

I've seen WSO's that offer that type of thing for $250 or so. Check out that area.

    LoL....

10 months is nothing. You have to be in it for the lang haul.

Just keep reading and taking action... you will get there.

A scrub does not be come a surgeon in 10 months.

If you want to become one of the best, be prepared to give 5+ years of refining your skill/art.

Thats the way I look at it any ways... im in year 2 now and im still not where I want to be. But im getting closer and closer!

Oh trust me i know about the downside of trying too hard. I used to try and build massive amounts of content, videos, blog posts, forum posts, etc just to "rush" my success. But now i have an advertising campaign going, and it's going well, and my free marketing methods have been scaled down dramatically (compared to what i used to be doing). So yeah... trying too hard sucks. Lol

The old saying 'Less haste, more speed' springs to mind.

I think many are guilty of trying to rush things and get results too quickly. Because of this many do not give projects enough time to mature and bear fruit. They have moved on to the next project. This is where the shiny object syndrome comes into play.

I imagine in the 10 months you have not stuck to one consistent daily plan... Am I correct?

Well, I learned the basics rapidly and I strugle finding a strong Area to work on. I used to buy WSO and work with out a solid plan but Now I focus on developing skills as a Business Owner rather than trying master skills myself and trying to be a SELF EMPLOYEE. I understand the starting point, for sure I will have to work myself to generate some money and reinvest them back into the business. Thanks!

While there are very good IM mentors out there, the price of "one-on-one" mentoring from a truly successful Internet Marketer can be extremely expensive. The reason why is that for the IM'er who actually are genuinely successful, they consider their time valuable. In their minds, they would typically rather continue making money from their IM campaigns or enjoy their wealth by having fun rather than personally work with a single individual. Due to this, they tend to leverage their time by creating a single learning product that they can show to multiple customers. If they were to do a "one-by-one" training, they better have a really good incentive: such as getting paid a lot of money.

My personal advice is to browse through WF and learn as much as you can as you will find many genuine and practical advice on here. To take it a step up, becoming a "War Room" member can actually end up becoming a very worthwhile investment. For months I was hesitant about investing the $37, but it has already more than paid off due to the great threads/content you will find on there. There's actually a ton of marketers on there literally giving away free eBooks.

Thank you for the advice the problem I have experienced so far with WSOs is the MMO. Chances are slight, is the Idea behind WSO educating people and make them successful?

How do you explain MMO concept with your Newly launched WSO?

Well, I'm not going to leave you to the wolves lol.
Alex Jeffreys WSO seems to still be active. Also I believe there is another one named Bring The Fresh by one of the guys who made big money and help make IM really popular. Also, try to find Tristan Bull's Internet Marketing Uncut on the net. It's a bit dated, but also gives you a good overview of IM.

I would say it would all be a piece of cake after that, but I have to keep in mind that I was around in the older days of Affiliate Marketing, and though thing's have changed there's things I know about it and the web that most newbies don't.

    I can tell you this much you can make money without all of the extras like a site, but in order to get into the big bucks you do need some of the following;

    You Do Need:
    A Domain
    Webhosting
A product "yours or someone elses with private label rights"
    An Autoresponder
The Ability to actually do the work
The ability to write and read - you already got this covered
Ability to do what you are reading or learning in IM. IM is similiar to sales, in that a lot of it doesn't make sense, but they work.

    hope all this helps,
