Go look up the Law of Success by Napoleon Hill and you will get the 15 characteristics to a successful entrepreneur. There was 25 years of dedication to come up with those 15 traits. Henry Ford, the richest man in the world had a lot of influence to that book. Read, reread and keep rereading for the rest of your life. Bob Proctor has read Think and Grow Rich hundreds of times to allow the information to help reprogram his subconscious. Think and Grow Rich is just a concentrated version of Law of Success.

Just like James mentions, many of the ideas written by Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich perfectly mentions the mindset that successful people have. Some main principles of his that I would like to highlight are:

    *Definiteness of Purpose -
Definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement. Without a purpose and a plan, people drift aimlessly through life.

    *Applied Faith -
Faith is a state of mind through which your aims, desires, plans and purposes may be translated into their physical or financial equivalent.

    *Positive Mental Attitude -
Positive mental attitude is the right mental attitude in all circumstances. Success attracts more success while failure attracts more failure.

    *Self-Discipline
Self-discipline begins with the mastery of thought. If you do not control your thoughts, you cannot control your needs. Self-discipline calls for a balancing of the emotions of your heart with the reasoning faculty of your head.

Being someone who has personally read and implemented his ideas, I swear by the level of personal and professional success you can achieve.

    Determination, hardwork, persistence

You may fail 100 times before you finally have that break through and finally start having some success.

In my opinion a keen interest and application of the Law of Attraction (LOA) appears to be an area that a lot of marketers are into - "Thoughts Become Things" Positive Thinking and all that good stuff - works for me

I recommend reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill - despite the fact it was written in 1937, it's a great read and can really help a lot with having the proper mindset and stuff like that.

Here's What i think. Thanks james for your contribution. I have read the Law of Success and think and grow rich, As a man thinketh and the strangest secret.

1-Have a Tunnel Vision - Narrowness of viewpoint resulting from concentration on a single idea, opinion, etc., to the exclusion of others. Know your vision. Always Ask Why. That's the big one. If you know your why. You will have greater inspiration to follow through.

2- The Power of Goals - After listening to The Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale - I started believing in the concept of Goals. Think of a ship with the complete voyage mapped out and planned. The captain and crew know exactly where the ship is going and how long it will take — it has a definite goal. And 9,999 times out of 10,000, it will get there. So, we must know where we are going and it can only be determined by knowing where we want to go.

3- "Value only consists in its application" - Imagine a world without consumption. If we won't consume there wouldn't be any exchange of Value. No barter system no money to earn. Also, a key point we buy loads of stuff and we never apply those principles in our life.

4- Become Enthusiastic - I mention this word all the time, but you know the word enthusiasm comes from the two little Greek words en (within) and theos (God), right? When you’re enthusiastic (absolutely exhilaratingly beaming with life!), God’s flowing thru you.

5- Gratitude - Feeling grateful for what you have and the people who are contributing into your life.

Thanks Everyone for your incredible contribution to this post.

    Regards,
    Rahul Sharma

Ok you read the books once. Did you do a addition problem with math once to master adding and subtraction? No you did hundreds to thousands of problems. Repetition is important. I stated Bob Proctor has read think and grow rich hundreds of times. In order to reprogram our mind repetition along with autosuggestion is key. Having a success mindstate means you want your thoughts to be like the wealthy and powerful. Learn from them by continuously rereading the information. You want success thoughts to come as second nature.
