Using This Forum To Make Money & Support Each Other

Hiya Warrior

I love warrior forum, it rocks! But I see this terrible trend happening here

I personally have been victimized, bullied, stalked & harassed by warriors

I have been called names that arn't so nice..... and I know that I am not the only one. In fact I know there are others that have had it 100x worse than me

There seems to be this trend of pulling warriors down to make themselves feel bigger or better about themselves - why?

Inadequate probably, in their business or maybe personal life

This forum is about making money on the internet (my fav thing to do) not sh** stirring to get a reaction off someone

Warriors should be focusing on leveraging information from one and other, learning and bouncing new ideas around.

Imagine how much more productive this place would be and nicer it would be to visit.

Lets talk making money

Imagine is about all there is, other than sprinkling the place with fairy dust and making 3 wishes, for people to think you can wake up and live in blissville where everybody is suddenly blowing strawberry kisses up backsides is really not going to happen. ever. It's knee deep and probably wont change much.

If people are playing bully then the best it could be is report them and or ignore them.

    Hey Emma,

Simply ignore the haters. That's what I do when making money online and in real life, too. There's not much point in giving attention to negative people around you, they just bring you down.

Emma, couldn't agree more, there are tons of times when I've opened up a thread only to see some big players bashing themselves about, or people calling out a newbie for asking basic questions!!

Asking for consideration on an online forum? Outrageous

Of course people should be polite and considerate, but on an online forum you can't expect that. It is well-documented that people don't behave as well in electronic communications. I've heard of a fair few who found themselves looking for a new job because they couldn't behave in their emails.

That's no excuse, but it's better to just report and otherwise ignore imo.

I hear you Emma but when you step into a forum its expected. If this was all in person people would be a lot nicer but its people behind their computer screen. Best thing is to ignore the negativity. I give harsh answers sometimes but its because a person is making a ton of excuses or whining.

So maybe there is the problem - I do expect it! Its not hard to be semi-polite.

And I am all for debates, its the crazy negativity and bullying that is so not cool

It seems to be the theme - its a forum - expect it - I find that disappointing

Whether we like to admit it or not we're all competing against each other for all the online dollars. I think this can create tensions sometimes. Not nice, but, that's a fact of life. I'll however always show respect for anybody here, even my competition. Because at the end of the day, if they're beating me ethically. Then it's fair game.

I see no such trend. Describe the "victimization, bullying and stalking" that occurred, please. Exactly what did "they, he or she" do?

    I agree Emma

As a business forum primarily we are here to share our experiences and our support. We also develop products that will help build our fellow IMers business.

Negativity brings everyone down. And people who try to put other's down unfairly can either 'attract' other's who are generally 'negative' or if they are in the right place at the right time - other 'positive' people will jump in and support.

It is important to remember that we are not using full human communication in writing on a forum thread - we cannot see each other's facial expression, body lauguage or tone - so those who blast at others are behaving with the same mentality as the 'road rager' who is fearless only because the feel they cannot be 'touched'

Bullying - should never be accepted - not here nor anywhere! IMO

The old saying what comes around goes around always hold's true. Text is just text in most cases, people are usually full of B.S. I have done many things in the last few years that always have had a social component to them and let me say if you don't like fighting for your tail every day then maybe some things in life just aren't meant to be, personally also I have learned that I must fight to ward off the negative people and only associate with those who will truly respect me and my goals and help any way that they can as I always will for them.

Where is this trend - examples, please. I looked at your recent threads and see no one accusing you or any arguments going on.

So where is this coming from:

I personally have been victimized, bullied, stalked & harassed by warriors
If you have a serious problem where someone is bothering you - report it. If you just don't like how some people answer questions or respond to your answers, let it go.

Victimization? Bullying? Stalking? Harrassment? Where? When?

Emma, you can either ignore these people that are harassing you or you can report them. I can't see the WF turning into some perfect world where everyone plays nice all the time. There will always be good along with the bad - that's just how it works.

I asked the same question and would appreciate an answer. If you are talking about conversation that goes on in this forum and that someone may have disagreed with you, then perhaps you should not participate in a public forum discussion because disagreements will always arise. That however, does not constitute victimization, bullying, stalking or harassment, so if you have any concrete evidence of that, we'd like to know what it is and when this occurred.

I can, sort of, see where Emma is coming from.

I've also noticed people chiming in on threads lately with a "holier-than-thou, you moron" tone to newbies when these replies would have been better left untyped.

It does get tiring answering the same question 5,000 times because people don't use the search feature (even though it kinda sucks). But, I think, it would be better not to reply at all, rather than making new/less experienced people feel like idiots.

Personally i see none of this going on here. I'm sorry Emma, but i think you're way off the mark. Why would someone on this forum harass you for no reason? Seems to me that if this is an ongoing problem then maybe you should ask yourself why this is happening to you. Any newbies asking basic questions get good advice. Sometimes there may be harsh words but 9/10 it is just criticism geared to help, not hinder.

    Just my 2 cents.

If someone is bullying you then you need to tell the forum moderators about this. That is what I would do. You can also ignore them and move on. Unless someone actually emailed you through this forum and said some bad things that hurt your feeling, if that person would post these comments for everyone to see, then someone would do something about it.

I would also like to see what these people told you that moved you to say that you are being victimized, bullied, stalked & harassed by other warriors.

Focus on the good stuff and more good stuff will appear as if by magic.

    Will there be negativity? Yep.

But you get to choose how to respond to it. You can either let it invade your mind and feelings about the Warrior Forum, OR you can inoculate yourself against it by seeking out the good.

    All the best,
    Michael

I'm afraid it's the nature of the beast Emma.
I know what you are talking about, and have seen a bit of it myself here. But this forum being as big as it is, and having been online for so long, means it's going to happen.

Personally I don't ask questions on some forums, this one included, as I tend to expect the odd flippant or sarcastic response. So instead I answer a question I think I may be able to help with or offer some help where I see it may be needed.

What trend? I spend more time on this forum than I probably should, but haven't seen anyone being "victimized, bullied, stalked & harassed". There have been the occasional WSO provider who has been deservedly called out for a product that does not live up to its sales copy, but other than that this is a very supportive and informative forum that keeps drawing me back.

I got to admit, that I haven't noticed it either  but am open to hearing more about it?

Some of the WSO threads can get pretty heated, I think; are you referring to that, or personal stuff (PM's, etc.) Just wondering if it is someting more directed @ women here?

(Ok, I know sbucciarel is a woman, and hasn't been hassled, but she is pretty scary looking! )

I've responded in quite a few "heated debate" threads where the tone got nasty, which is not really the definition of victimized, harassed, stalked, or bullied.

No, l agree.. That's a conversation/debate, lol, whereas stalked, bullied, etc, is on a whole other level.

As I sit here thinking about it.. I can recall one occasion that I would describe as bullying (not talking about you here, of course, Suzanne), but I confronted the person directly in the thread, and then let-it-go (and forgot all about it, lol.)

That's the beauty of a public forum.. Usually, if someone is out of line, they will be called on it or the thread/comment will be deleted.

Yep ... and they will be banned for victimization, harassment, stalking or bullying. One one occasion only, a person made a direct threat to me and said he was friends with the owner and could say what he wanted. Well, he was permanently banned within minutes.

    Hi Emma,

Earth can't be called Earth without the north and south poles. Same thing goes for negative and positive people. Negative people provides balance in any discussion. Positive people do, too.

Human, by nature, loves to be seen as someone who's bigger and greater, if not the biggest and greatest, than anyone else. We have the power to choose whether we respond to every single word they throw on every response we give. Every once in a while, it's fine to go with the 'battle' till kingdom come. But as Internet Marketers, sometimes, 24 hours aren't enough to accomplish what we need to accomplish. During those days, it's better to walk away and do what you think will benefit you better.
